Carbon Dragon Dating
Just two carbon dragons dating, did you know that carbon is used to determine the age of organic, carbon-based materials that were once alive, such as wood, bone, shells, and plant fibers. but only up to 60k years ago.
Coal is also made up the same thing as diamonds but their arrangement and purity is different. Diamonds are mostly estimated to be 1-3 billion years old while coals are around 300 million years old
Despite these two being different, they're still the same species of dragon and can enjoy a plate of carbonara together and bond
The Tannin Dragon are the most common Dragon Species on Laramidia, and on some parts of Appalachia. In modern times they are usually seen in 1 of 16 elemental variants: (Light, Crystal, Wind, Sound, Wood, Poison, Water, Ice, Shadow, Phantom, Earth, Metal, Psionic, Fear, Fire, or Lightning) obtained through a ritual of exposing their eggs to the Moon for an extended period of time and allowing them to absorb the elemental magic associated with each lunar phase.
Otherwise Elemental power does not come naturally to them. Without exposure to the moon they still absorb ambient energy from nature, and may even take on qualities of magical sources they are exposed to while developing and then can direct that energy through their body to enhance their physical strength, durability, stamina, senses, and reflexes, or they can project non-elemental energy outwards as a Breath, Beam, or Pulse.
This is mostly a lost art of Ancient Laramidian Tannin now since Elementless Tannin have become rare the teachings that would have trained them to use their natural energy has fallen into irrelevance and many have forgotten they have powers aside from elemental.
The Appalachian Tannin while less populous have gone a different direction from their Laramidian cousins. Their cultures spit off long before the Laramidian Tannin discovered the Lunar Ritual, so they don't know the Lunar Ritual but they do know that sources of magical power have an effect on their eggs development so they have their own rituals that are unique but still practice their own natural ability.
The Koeketani Dragon were one of the original 8 Dragon species of Laramidia and Appalachia before the Tannin.
The Koeketani are Dragons of the forest who have the ability to absorb ambient magical energy from the environment around them and temporarily take on the magical properties, and physical appearances of plants and animals in their environment. Their physical appearances can vary wildly based on which plant species they are mimicking giving them camouflage. When they pass away of old age that energy is released back into their environment which Revitalizes the land and promotes growth and fertility
The Koeketani are an ancestors of the modern Tannin Dragons after crossbreeding with another dragon. Koeketani are very likely extinct at this point having been succeeded by they descendants or remain hidden in densely forested locations.
The Aeryntani were one of the original 8 Dragon species of Laramidia and Appalachia before the Tannin.
The Aeryntani are dragons from the Mountains who were natural Powerhouses of Magical energy and could channel that power through their body to enhance their physical strength, durability, stamina, senses, and reflexes, or they can project non-elemental energy outwards as a Breath, Beam, or Pulse.
The Aeryntani are an ancestors of the modern Tannin Dragons after crossbreeding with another dragon. Aeryntani are are very likely extinct at this point having been succeeded by they descendants or remain hidden in remote areas of Mountain.
It's a little obscure/niche compared to most plushies, but it would be fun to see people choose between Roaminbison's five "elemental dragon" plushies? https://www.etsy.com/shop/RoaminBisonWorkshop?search_query=elemental+dragon
(Bonus, they're inspired by Wings of Fire dragon tribes: Earth = MudWing, Desert = SandWing, Dark = NightWing, Forest = RainWing, and Water = SeaWing complete with glow-in-the-dark stripes!)
This is super cool! I’ve read the first book in the Wings of Fire series and have been meaning to get a hold of the second. The series is really good so far! I’d be happy to present these amazing dragon plushies!
Which plushie would you adopt?

Before I continue with Vulpera's fluffy companions, I want to stop and show you my personal project.
These four have a long story. I started working on them a few years ago. For me, these were some of the first sculptures I made entirely out of air-dry clay. It was supposed to be a simple project both in style and in concept (four dragons representing the four elements). But… something went wrong.
The sculpting process went well; the painting was also successful. And then, according to my plan, there was the stage with epoxy resin… and this stage did not go as planned for two of the four dragons. Looking back now, I realize that the problem with the epoxy resin was easily solved. But I did not have the right tool, so sadly the dragons were put in a closet and locked there for a couple of years.
And then… I got the very tool that could save the situation. It took me a while to get the hang of it and gain confidence that I wouldn't make it worse with my corrections. And then I spent as much as two hours to correct that small mistake, which a couple of years ago seemed to me the final verdict for the sculptures.
And here we are. These dragons are finally ready to show themselves! You can't imagine how happy I am about this - and I can't wait to show you the final pics <3
