Summary: You are Steve and Bucky’s adopted daughter who was kidnapped and tested on by Hydra. Finally able to control your powers of elemental manipulation (fire, water, earth, air, lightning, and metal) you try them out against the other Avengers.
Warning: violence, and slight swears
A/N: this isn’t really set in any time point of the MCU but I use the characters I want and not the ones I don’t and there are a few aspects that don’t go along with the MCU but I really don’t care
You are standing there just rubbing your hands together looking around. When they built the compound, we had the construction company build an outdoor training center. Right now, you are standing in the circular patch of dirt waiting for your first opponent.
Natasha is organizing the whole thing, choosing your opponents and when the fight has ended.
“Pete! Sweetie, you’re up!” Natasha calls waving her hand.
You stand there sizing up Peter and the area around him. He has no metal or other elements on him for you to use- that is one disadvantage. But this is an open field with nothing tall for him to swing on- his disadvantage.
Suddenly, he shoots his webs and you are wrapped in them in the blink of an eye. You struggle for a second before thorny vines start to crawl out of the ground and cut the webs. He shoots again, but they don’t get far, instantly falling to the ground. He looks confused and shoots another time, they fall to the ground.
It hits me that you are using the air to drag them down, there is a cocky smirk plastered on your face.
He goes to take a step forward, but is unable to move, not even his arms. You are using the air to trap him in a tight, invisible tube.
Water starts to pool a few feet above his head, a few drops drip down onto him. His chests start heaving in and out fast and his face is clouding in alarm.
Your hands are splayed out in front of you holding the water and air in place.
“He has to be on the ground for me to call it!” Natasha yells out to the kids.
You roll your eyes and flick your middle finger down a little and the water starts moving down. Peter moves down with until he is crouching, not on the ground but pretty close. He is moving around trying to get out but to no anvil. His eyes grow wider as the water bubble gets bigger and lowers down on to his body.
He stands there for about a minute and you start to look a little anxious.
He starts thrashing around and slamming his hands on the air tube trying to get out. It disappears suddenly and he falls to the ground, water sloshing everywhere. He lies there in the mud sputtering. You run over to him.
“A-are you okay?” you ask him your voice laced in concern. You are nibbling on your lip in worry.
“Yeah, yeah I’m fine,” Peter assures getting up and walking back to the other group of Avengers waiting for their turn.
“You sure?” Natasha asks him again. He shakes his head. “Okay next is Scott!”
He walks up to you while you are using your abilities to dry up the mud.
It does not seem like there are any disadvantages on his part. Seems like it should be a pretty fair fight.
Your head whips back when he punches you in the face. You put your hand up to your nose and it comes back with blood on it. Your eyes are livid as you look at him.
Your leg whips out and you sweep his legs out from underneath him. He shrinks down and you look around searching for him. Suddenly you fall on your ass. You aggressively blow out a breath, your hair moving in the process. Your body starts to glow until you burst into flames.
Scott screams and suddenly turns normal again, patting down bursts of fire.
You stand up flinging your hands in front of you and a giant blob of water splashing over him dousing the fire. The water disappears with a flick of your hand and vines start meandering out of the ground and wrapping around Scotts’s body. He yanks one of his arms out and starts moving to shrink himself again but you slam him back down with the air and vines wrapping around him even tighter this time.
He is gasping for air. “I yield! I yield!” he pants.
You chuckle in pity and the vines fall away.
“I-I tripped,” he defends to no avail.
“Yeah, right!” Bucky teases.
“If you think you can do much better it’s your turn then, Buck,” Natasha fires back.
“Seems like an unfair fight,” Tony notices as he comes up from behind me to stand with me.
“I mean he can’t use guns, metal knives, or his arm so he's going to have to hit her.” I shrug looking you guys up and down trying to gauge if you have any weaknesses he can exploit. You are not good with hand to hand, and too many hits can knock you down permanently, but you are fast enough to avoid most of them- or you can use her powers to shield herself or hold him back.
“Give me a second,” you yell. Now you are jogging over to where Tony and I stand. “Tony, you designed his arm, correct?”
“Can I rip it into pieces, obviously not the part attached to him because that would hurt but…?”
“Yes I can fix it easily if you do, but don’t completely mangle it, please.”
You run back over and shake your head at Bucky.
Buck runs at you, aiming towards your gut. You stand there until the last second when you fly upwards, causing him to charge into nothing. He looks up and jumps latching his metal arm onto your foot and drags you down tossing you a few feet away from him. Your head smacks against the ground but you quickly stand up, not down long enough for Natasha to call it. When you stand up your face is painted in infuriation and you lift your, arm clench your fist and pull your arm back into your body, which is ironic because Bucky’s metal arm flings from his own body just to float in the air. He tries to move forward but a tube of lightning starts to grow around him, rippling and cracking deadly around him. You start moving your fingers in the same fashion Wanda does and the metal arm starts moving and melding into just sheets of metal, wires and other unnecessary items falling to the ground. Next, you unclench your other hand the lighting fades away and the metal starts moving towards Bucky until it starts wrapping around his arm, waist, and each leg. Then they start melding together, the legs meld together into one and his arm melds to his waist. You cock your head and blow out, and he falls to the floor. He thrashes. Nothing happens.
“Damn she’s good,” Tony admires astonished.
“She took out Pete and Scott already,” I add.
“How do you feel, sweetheart?” I ask smoothing down your hair.
You are in your bed after taking a pretty bad mental beating from Wanda, she is one of the three you were unable to take down. Including Wanda, Strange, and Carol. But you did take down Peter, Scott, Bucky, Loki, Banner, T’challa, Vision, and Natasha.
“I’m proud of you for defeating everyone else.” I laugh. “It’s going to take Tony forever to fix Bucky’s arm.”
You giggle and wince holding your ribs. I hand you the ice pack and you press it against your chest.
“Thank you, Deve,” you purr.
I smile at the term of endearment.
