The Fairy Queen’s Message by Ellen Flory
Artist : Helen Jacobs
1923
Elfe and Zirconiade inspired by Francisco Goya’s “El sueño de la razón produce monstruos”
Veld & Elfe (Felicia) piece of art I finished. I got the idea after workin on my Veld heart emote but wanted to showcase the similarities (yet differences) of them both having materia embedded in their hands.
can you refresh me on what happens with hojo and seph in before crisis
You'll have to forgive me, as it can be hard cataloguing everything with BC--specific scenes are hard to find even on yt and the translation is not precise.
But basically (unless I'm missing anything), at one point Hojo turns traitor on Shinra and tries to escape with the rebels. Sephiroth is sent in to retrieve him and successfully does so with very little effort, killing a dragon while he's at it lol During the rescue, Hojo pauses to tell Sephiroth that he's gotten stronger. Sephiroth refuses to turn around to look at/speak to him. Hojo reflects that no matter the situation, Shinra is the place where Sephiroth belongs. Sephiroth ditches him the second he's secured the area.
Sephiroth has a few other scenes in BC as well. His encounter with Elfe is actually pretty important as it cements Sephiroth's growing doubts about his place in the world. Elfe briefly fights him and asks him why he fights, a question that actually stumps him to the point where he allows the rebels to get away. Sephiroth is also included in a few other scenes, including a retelling of Nibelheim through the Turks' POV, and President Shinra flinging Sephiroth at literally every single mild inconvenience.
If Ever Crisis does eventually get around to adapting Before Crisis, I wonder if they'll actually add more scenes with him. Probably not, but Seph IS the big FF7 money-maker so there's always a chance!
