....Well, in the sense that “severe depression” is 4-5 times more lethal than moderate depression, I suppose there is a difference. But meanwhile, even mild depression results in losses in quality of life, physical health, ability to function in work and school, and quality of personal relationships; and moderate depression is less likely to go away without treatment and more likely to persist or recur than mild depression.
