Nothing But You On My Mind Epilogue Fundraiser Donation-Matching!

My lovely, lovely friend @elizabethdolly​ offered to make the donation on my behalf because her company does donation matching! 

What is donation matching? Some companies will encourage employees to donate to organizations and charities by offering to match their donation, and therefore doubling it! Ex. If someone donates $100, the company will also donate $100, making the total donation to the cause/organization/charity $200! There are often stipulations (like minimum amount of donation, proof that it’s a 501c3 for tax purposes, etc...) but a lot of the time it’s just a great opportunity for your money to go further and do more. Regardless of whether or not you donate to this fundraiser, I highly recommend looking into whether your company does donation matching!  .  Proof of donation:

23. favorite piece of clothing?

favourite would be one of my hockey jerseys, probably the game-worn habs lehkonen jersey and from clothing i actually wear, i have a really cozy dark blue knitted cardigan i absolutely love

30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?

fields with wooded areas around, a quiet marina on a lake and the long main street of a small town

blues: did you grow up liking your home team/the team closest to your state or province, or did you grow up liking a team from a different location? oh yes, i was very basic. i chose the isles because they were my home team. i later picked up the flyers for similar reasons. 

knights: what locations would you like to see get expansion drafts? ohhh goodness. i think milwaukee or indianapolis would make economic sense, maybe also houston. less realistically i’d love to see hockey mexico. forget the sunbelt we’re going below the border. make it a real north american league.

living for the kindergarten au tidbits in your tags!

if you want to have a good* time please consider the kindergarten class co-taught by mr. brock and mr. petey! 

like, mr. petey makes the kids lie down for their naps because it’s important to maintain a sleep schedule at their age, and mr. brock sneaks in after mr. petey leaves to very quietly read stories to the kids who can’t fall asleep (but the secret is that mr. petey is actually listening from behind the door to mr. brock as he tells stories in a hushed voice, and is smiling quietly and fondly to himself !). 

mr. petey gives the kids snacks every day and doles out exactly equal portions to every child, but then slips them an extra cookie and is like “don’t tell the others [winks].” however. the secret is that he is giving an extra cookie to all the kids because he wants them all to feel special.

mr. brock sings the children lullabies!!!

they do those worksheets in class where you have to like write your name and your hair color and your favorite food and your best friend and brock makes an example one that says “my best friend is mr. petey!” and elias is sitting next to him screaming internally and literally    v i b r a t i n g     with yearning

*and by good i mean extremely painful and terrible!!! we are suffering constantly and mightily, please join us in this hell pit of our own making
