Happy birthday, Selene

Happy 152nd birthday, my lovely angel.

An amazing portrait by @snowfredelarme (whom I can't recommend enough, I've got 4 works from them and all are absolutely breathtaking).

Selene was created in February 2025 when I started writing my main fic "Monster." I don't even remember whether I celebrated her previous birthday, but even if I did - I did it alone. Her birthday was chosen because it was the night of a full Moon in June 1874. I needed June for the plot, but it worked beautifully since one of June's birthstones is moonstone. Plus, my own birthday is on the 29th (not June), so that was another nice coincidence.

I am so incredibly grateful for every single person who has taken an interest in her since I joined the fandom in October. I could have never imagined getting to know so many amazing people, and all of this came from my desire to tell Selene's story.

Thank you, Selene, for getting me to where I am now, for giving me so many hours of writing, yapping, commissioning art, even attempting to draw myself. You are my favourite baby and you will always be. I'm sorry for putting you through hell and back, but... that's how we show our love to our OCs, isn't it? And you received so much beautiful art and so many handsome men, so you really can't complain.

Commissioned by JohannArts on vgen. They are absolutely amazing to work with, very responsive, attentive, and the result is breathtaking. They are new on vgen, so their prices are affordable (and, frankly, way too low for the amazing quality, but you can always tip more!). They are also one of the artists I chose for my giveaway, and I was delighted to work with them again.

And since we are unfortunately in a cursed timeline where gen AI exists: they send extremely detailed WIPs at each step and have also been posting their art since 2020, so I am as sure as can be that their art is absolutely genuine and amazing.

New Selene's comms

I love them so much! They gave me a round number of commissions on vgen. But of course I had to create Salem, who ruined my pretty number and possessed my brain (and my wallet). There won't be any more Selene comms for a while until my manipulative Slytherin boy lets my hyperfixation on him go and allows me to comm his second cousin again (yes, Selene and Salem are second cousins because Elk can't create an OC without Black blood).
