The Howard family and the MacLean family have a lot in common

Both have a daughter who's very much a daddy's girl. (Lucy MacLean, Janey Howard)

Both Lucy and Janey have one parent who's an evil Vault-Tec executive that was willing to nuke the world, while the other parent is morally upstanding. The morally upstanding parent also later got turned into a ghoul as a result of their evil spouse's use of nukes. Only thing different between the two families is which parent is which.
