various thoughts on hc11 so far

just me rambling for a few paragraphs abt some hermits. maybe more to come

I LOVE mumbo's base he's so good at building--it's crazy how much he's improved. I'm enjoying his videos so much more now that he's really gotten to love content creation again and start working on things he just. ough i can see his passion for minecraft and art come out in every video now. started a little in hc8, took off in hc10, and i can tell it's gonna get even more amazing and even more stunning as we move through hc11 and beyond

Grian's also got such a cool base and vibe for the season! It feels like he's returning to old seasons a little with the way he's living in a cave (hc8) and the blocks he's using in the style of the barge in hc7. hc7 is my second-favourite season, after hc10, so i'm sosoos happy he's going back to it with some of his builds and things. i miss old hermitcraft sometimes, so its so nice seeing the revival of that.

Gem's whole vibe is soooo awesome,, I love how each season she chooses a clear theme and just sticks to that. i loved her hc10 one and i'm loving sososo much her hc11 one!! gothic vibes are so her,, ,the skin is so well made and so drawable, along with the stuff she's built so far which is just so cool

Pearll,, I haven't seen all her episodes yet but what i've seen so far is so awesome! Firefighter pearl is something we've never thought of before but now. we all realise we need it, she's so amazing. The firetrucks are SO well done like oml, and once again the skin is awesome. i'm loving her season so far

Joehills has a really cool base so far!! I love the use of armor stands for his starter tent, it looks amazing and so confusing to everyone visiting (xisuma- lol) which is so fun!! but the way he's going so far and from what i've seen, it is the ultimate Joe Hills Way which we all know and love, and i'm so excited what kind of crazy awesome ideas he has in store for this season.

Joel has such promising lore this season skdfhjk- the way he's put lore into each episode feels so joel and only joel coded. he can't do it any other way. the skin as well, amazing and i'm loving all the fanart and all the headcanons popping up. sooo excited for his future lore!! i wasn't as big a fan of his base as first but i'm slowly learning to love it sooo

okay so. pretty much. desert duo are both eldritch beings but ONLY when they're angry/sad/any heightened emotion! why? cus nova likes this stuff i guess. its cool :D

pretty much when desert duo went and fought to the death in the cactus ring, they didnt die. they spent so long trying to die, to get out of there, but they couldnt die.

eventually, they gave up--parted ways and lived separate, trying to deal with their eldritch forms and keep themselves in check as emotions kept getting mroe and more intense from the enclosure of 3rd life :D

they managed to avoid each other for months, until one day, scar spots a strange stone in the ground when he's trying to dig up some dirt. it's got weird symbols on it, and it looks suspiciously like the language of the eldritch--the one he's never been able to read, but maybe grian can?

he takes it to grian to inspect! see if he can figure out this strange little rock, that might have some clues on how to get home :O

this starts the fic! grian and scar starting to talk again, working together to die and get home, while also managing their eldritch forms :> yippee!

but Cleo and Pearl post-vampires canon. its 2006 and everyone loves capitalism, so the lovely capitalist corporations spot a patch of land where there's nothing but an old town, rumoured to be haunted by the spirits of vampires and werewolves...

it's perfect for a giant hotel/resort complex, according to them! so they trundle up to Oakhurst, ready to demolish everything and rebuild it into a nice lovely holiday spot!

Cleo and pearl aren't fans of this, though, so they try fight back against the corporation trying to demolish the buildings using various stupid techniques.

In the process, they get to accidentally raise Avid from the dead, destroy the castle and rebuild it, kill far too many corporate white men, and give shelby *another* gun. wahoo!!!
