My DnD setting's rendition of Loviatar. A bit different from forgotten realms... here she's the queen of the hells and the goddess of suffering! She used to be a general in Bane Asmodeus's infernal army, got promoted to his consort, and then tortured the god Caethes into revealing the secrets of ascension. In retribution Caethes cursed her with rot at the moment of her ascension- all armor she wears rusts and rots away, and her arm was lost before she was made fully Divine.
The Consilium Arcanum is a council of archmages in my homebrew world of Ellowyre, responsible for researching new magic, educating the next generation of wizards, and fostering progress in the Eglian Empire. Here's a collection of spells right from their spellbooks, including one right from the pocket of my current campagin's BBEG.

Legend has it that she appeared on the battlefield in the last march against the Tyrant Lord, her first act being to shield a mortal from being struck down by an arrow. Her weapon was a standard-banner with the foul emblem burned away, and on wings of light she lead the charge further, bolstering their numbers with birds given human form.
If you’re a player in my Ellowyre campaign, look away now because this sword is one major spoiler for the game I’m currently running! Scattered into pieces across the material plane, the sword Taharial is an ancient weapon made of bone used during the wars between gods. Each of its many pieces has to be found and paired with another to create one Swordshard, which was done to preserve balance as I don’t particularly relish the idea of 47 powerful artifacts in my player’s hands.
Thank you so much to Jen over at @verditers for the wonderful art of the sword itself!
Some Things About my Homebrew DnD World That I Think Are Neat (feel free to use as inspiration)
There is an island where a syndicate of rich people host the hunger games for people in their debt.
Also you can see this island from the coast, but you can’t actually get there unless you have a map made from the trees on that island. Consequently, there are people who believe this island doesn’t exist.
Exactly 1 city has a rudimentary form of electricity, because of a wild magic sorcerer who exploded a thousand years ago.
There is an underwater temple at the base of where three mountain ranges collide. It’s also the Bermuda Triangle.
At least three world leaders are secretly dragons in disguise.
Many races, not just the drow, live in the underdark because it’s warmer than on the surface in the really cold places.
In the Astral Plane there’s an infinite labyrinthine dungeon where you can find every treasure you could hope for, and every monster you could think of.
(If you have questions or want me to expand, please ask! I love talking about my ideas!)
This is the Eglian Empire, the largest political power in the Ashican region on my homebrew world. Right now I’m writing the lore and the backstories of key NPCs that player will find here.
The Friendship Team is the party I DM for every Tuesday, in my homebrew sandbox setting of Ellowyre. Right now, they’re going to attend a gala in the home of Lord Simon Ossyll, because he’s taken an interest in adventurers that can provide conversation and entertainment- and ones whose very presence will annoy the other nobles in attendance. Today we’re also introducing our Rogue Tasia to the party, as she’s at the party for a very different reason... With that done, let’s meet the team! If you’re part of the Friendship team (Beau, Maria, Mena, Moth, Zara, and Maggie that’s you), please kindly look away as this will have spoilers!!
First up we have Sawyer Bo, the Firbolg Path of the Beast Barbarian. A soft boy at heart, Sawyer Bo is on a journey to find himself after a bad breakup, and an even worse engagement to a fey noblewoman that stole his original name, Bo Milis den Mhoinear, “Sweet Cow of the Meadow.” Hopefully he’s learned his lesson, and maybe one day he’ll even get that name back, unless the fey find him first.
Next up is Eevee, the definition of “Looks like a cinnamon roll, will kill you.” Eevee is a simic hybrid Clockwork Soul sorcerer, though she doesn’t know quite what that is yet. Arriving in town with only one possession- a music box that doubles as a puzzle box with many compartments, Eevee has precious few memories of her early life but is quick to make friends with the other members of her party. Assessing other people as “easy to kill,” however, hasn’t made her too many friends among the common people, as they tend to be put off by that observation.
Next is Inva, the aasimar Circle of the Land (Arctic) Druid. Hailing from lands outside the Empire, she’s here searching for one of her closest friends, a friend who was last seen carted off by Empire soldiers for no apparent reason. In addition to her powers as a Druid and an aasimar, Inva also has strong ties to the goddess of nature Melora, occasionally receiving visions from her that aid the Friendship team on their quest. Standing at 5′5,” Inva is part of the smol squad, along with Eevee and Tasia.
Milo, as he’s known to his friends, is the model of a knight. A young human paladin in his mid twenties, he’s in the area accompanying his mentor Dame Reyza Zadanis, to official meetings. The only thing is, “Milo the Human Paladin” died years ago. This is Aser, a changeling warlock of a mysterious goddess figure who appears to them in dreams, leading a double life as a knight of the empire to provide information to the family they grew up with, the royal family of Neccone. Their connections have made them powerful friends, but if they are ever discovered, those friends could turn to powerful enemies.
Saira, the Rune Knight Goliath is the most jovial of the entire party, despite what her intimidating appearance may suggest. Hailing from the unclaimed mountainous territory north of Glerhiel, Saira is here for three reasons- to make friends, fight things, and flirt with beautiful women. She can usually be seen carting around her giant battleaxe while dragging her friends along to have fun.
Tasia Tane is the newest addition to Team Friendship, so new that she hadn’t even met them yet. Tasia is in town to perform an assassination for her employers the Dusk Guild- a crime organization to which Tasia quite literally owes her life. Orphaned as a child when her village was destroyed during the war, Tasia was raised by the assassins of the Dusk Guild, and is considered one of their most promising pupils, that is if she ever pays of the life debt that she owes. She won’t kill pregnant mothers or children, a fact which has recently landed her in hot water with the Guild, leading her to prepare for assassinating a target at the gala in which she’s destined to meet the other party members- including the “paladin” who arrested her a week ago.
