What Azara's full feelings about Aaroniero?
For the most part, they’re positive and altruistic which isn’t surprising because she really does truly love him (or at least love him as much as an Arrancar can love). She feels a tremendous amount of gratitude for everything she’s felt he’s done for her and he’s the only person who’s ever made her feel truly happy. He’s the only person in her life at the moment, and he’s also the only thing that makes her feel like life’s worth living and she’d do almost anything to make him even a little bit happier. He’s never taken advantage of her or hurt her and that only makes her love him more. He’s also the first person to show her real respect and warmth.
That being said, she’s fully aware of how cruel and sadistic he can be, but she’s willing to look past that for the most part. She doesn’t approve of his sadism or his bloodlust but she also knows that she can’t change him. Azara feels that all she can really do is try to prevent him from hurting people when she can. She doesn’t blame him entirely for his actions because she feels like they’re a result of his experiences and his environment and other factors outside of his control.
Azara also expects him to hurt her one day, physically or otherwise. She trusts him, but she doesn’t trust him completely and she thinks she’d be foolish to expect him not to hurt her. The thought is always in the back of her mind, even if she’s not conscious of it, and subconsciously, she’s anticipating the day when he finally proves that she was right not to trust him completely.
Haunt me; Slap me.
Haunt Me
She found herself being more alert to his movements these days, noting his comings and goings and becoming more alert to his presence. She would feel his reiatsu in the distance sometimes, like a lighthouse lighting up the night and showing the way home. Sometimes, when she could feel it flaring, she would rush to where he was, hoping to prevent him from doing something foolish or getting hurt.
When she had the chance to, she would attempt to distract him from violence, luring him away from his would-be aggressor, or as was more likely the case, his would-be victim, with affection.
She couldn’t help feeling protective over him and responsible for him. She would do almost anything if it meant preventing him from suffering, and if that meant keeping an eye out for him from time to time, then she would do so gladly. In many ways, he was like a child in his mannerisms and in his morality. He could be impatient, demanding, entitled, and needy, but he could also be incredibly sweet and affectionate. His morality and his behavior was a result of his environment; he didn’t know any better.
But she did, and if keeping an eye out for him meant keeping him from indulging in cruelty and savagery, then so be it.
Slap Me
"Azara~ I have a surprise for you." His voice was eager and full of child-like enthusiasm, his blue eyes gleaming with anticipation as he ushered her towards his tower.
