One thing we always hear from all sides is 'you, Elriels!' (and then insert complaint du jour). Elriels are canon obsessed! Elriels this and that.

But is it Elriels, or is it SJM?

Do you simply not like what SJM is writing because it doesn't fit your own headcanons and Elriels are just simply better in understanding text and her intent?

we've been talking about a corrupted Cauldron and multiple types of bonds for YEARS. You didnt want to hear it. You argued. You called us delusional.

Are we delusional or did we just understand what SJM was writing?

Are we Elriels because of some raging unfulfilled Headcanon, or are we Elriels because we saw what SJM was writing and we naturally followed her threads. Yes, we love Elain and Az together, but I feel like many would accept Elain and Lucien if SJM was veering that way.

Is it us Elriels, or is it SJM just writing her books and we simply get what she is writing?

"Elain needs to give Lucien a chance." is one of the most pathetic arguments for any ship I've seen in any fandom.

If you said "I want Elain and Lucien to be together because they're mates" fine I can jive with that.

But "needs to give him a chance" is straight up pathetic. Do you really want that relationship to start out with a pity date? A relationship where they're PRESSURED to interact with each other rather than organically?

Telling your real life friend to give a guy she's not interested in a chance is fucked behavior. This is no different.

No cuz I’ve been online, in fandoms, since 2011! I’ve been in like a billion fandoms: of singers, actors, celebs in general, cartoons even 😂, BOOKS… tv shows, movies.

When I tell y’all ELRIELS are the most beautiful, kind and chill fandom out there I MEAN IT! It’s the only fandom with people I never had to fight with or disagree bc we have our MORALS and very STRONG principles! No one here acts superior. No one is rude unless they’re provoked, and even then, they just defend themselves, AS THEY SHOULD!

My ELRIEL family, I love you from the bottom of my heart! The most UNITED fandom with the absolute best people I have ever seen! A family that never made me feel left out, inferior or ALONE! 🥺🩷💙🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

When I log on to interact with the ACOTAR fandom I love seeing all the positive posts, the funny posts, and the post supporting and theorizing ELRIEL with canon.

For the past almost decade there has been a couple of fans that are staples in “my fandom” and I want to make sure they know that even if it’s small they have brought a lot of fun and happiness to my day to day interactions here.
