4. Do you think Lucien knows Helion is his real father? Why or why not? What do you imagine happening between them when they interact in the next books?

I haven’t fully decided, but I don’t think Lucien knows Helion is his real father.

Autumn and Day wouldn’t have close connections to each other and Amarantha slaughtered immediate families during their rebellion. If Tarquin was a cousin to the then-High Lord of Summer, then Helion would fall around the same rank as Tarquin and Mor, adjacent to the High Lord family but removed enough that he didn’t think it was possible he could be a High Lord.

Lucien could explain his spell-cleaving abilities through the mechanical eye he received during Amarantha’s rule. His powers could also be more instinctive, just like Dorian when he discovered his own abilities.

As for their interactions, I think Helion resents Lucien because of how Beron found out that LoA had been cheating on him, without really putting two and two together that it was because LoA was pregnant with Lucien. Helion could assume the worst of Beron in that Lucien was a result of that confrontation, without realizing Lucien was the cause.

There is some snideness from Helion’s side and Lucien can’t help but match his energy until he reveals that not only does he have heir powers, but they come from his true father, not the male who raised him.

22. Will we find out why Elain could hear Lucien's heart but he couldn't hear hers? What do you think is the explanation?

I think we would see this in retrospect if there were a flashback. I still think it’s meant to create tension and symbolism, showing that Elain is more open to the idea of Lucien being her mate than Lucien was about Elain. We’ve known that Lucien has done and sacrificed so much in the name of Jesminda. But we don’t really know how deeply Elain felt for Graysen, especially with her dropping Lucien’s name when he referred to him as some High Lord’s son. We know she loved him deeply but Feyre also thought she loved Tamlin deeply until she took a good look at what that love actually represented. Lucien having to come to terms with Jesminda’s death being in vain seems much harder to overcome than Elain realizing that Graysen’s love for her is conditional.

What do you think draws you to Elucien as a ship?

Lucien, to me, is one of the best people in the series hands down: he shows respect to others and tries to do right by everyone, even though he gets beaten down in the process - by Tamlin, by Feyre, by his family... how can I not root for the guy who keeps on going despite that?

And Elain - I mean, we haven't begun to see the depths of her yet, just occasional glimpses of protectiveness and righteous anger. She is far more than just her looks, though - she's observant, she has a sharp mind, and there's a sensitive soul in there who abhors violence and wants to see the best for people and in people (say, Graysen).

Together, I think they can break the mold we've seen in the other couples - they'd have just as much fire and passion as the other mated pairs we've seen, but they'd speak before acting, give actual thought to things, and have a much healthier dynamic than some other couples who shall not be named.

Do you have a favorite Elucien head canon that you’d love to read in their book?

Oooh. You know, I really love the common one that they're carranam in addition to mates. That would be badass.

If you read fan fic, do you remember what your first Elucien fic was? Or do you have one you are currently reading you’re loving?

Oh man... I THINK it was @clarafae's Hand of Fate (which is fantastic and also super hot and ALSO everyone should read it btw)! As to one I'm enjoying now, while it breaks my heart EVERY WEEK, I'm absolutely hooked on @primulagoldworthy's Paperweight. I'm also loving @limeandorange's A Court of Lingering Lights. :)

Definitely some combination thereof. I can take a lot of pain for characters but even I have a limit for angst and need to break things up with silliness! (Case in point for one I'm writing - Sic Semper Tyrannis IS serious, right? But even though it's getting into very real feelings and those feelings can be ugly I also break things up with a conversation wherein the duo make up ridiculous backstories for random strangers.)

4. Do you have an Elucien headcanons?

I have a few!

Elain was the one who dreamed about Lucien, but her dreams weren’t limited to past or current events, she also saw future events involving her mate as a nod to her seer abilities that she possessed even as a human.

I also believe that her seer abilities as a Fae have not been showing because they become stronger when Lucien is around.

Also they definitely have boy-girl twins!

What would the first date of the ships you like be like? how would they behave? what would they do?

First of all, thank you for calling me hot. You are also hot, too.

Secondly, you can ask ANYTHING at anytime about anything.

Elucien?? First date?? It's romantic AF and well-planned. My man Lucien is dressed to the nines and has planned everything out. They do dinner and a garden. Like a botanical garden. If there's not a botanical garden to tour, they do something equally cute like a balloon glow or Shakespeare in the park. Dinner is definitely on a picnic blanket and for sure out door.

Luicen is nervous and so is Elain! Elain wears a cute sundress and gives Lucien a kiss on the cheek before the night is over. They for sure hold hands and she tells him about all the things that excite her while he takes mental notes for next time.

What is your favorite Elucien moment?

The moment when Elain said “His name is Lucien” 😍😍😍she’s gone back to her love practically begging him to take her back (elain sweetie u can do sm better) but she was still like “He’s not just some male put some RESPECT on his name!”

Also when Lucien said he never wants to fight in a battle again but he’s in one piece and Elain smiles😍😍😍😍😍my peaceful babies are so adorable!

I already answered this one, but I’ll be more specific!

Day 1 is fated so I really want to focus on writing both Lucien and Elain’s POV of the mating bond snapping in Hybern (we have a bit of Lucien’s POV and none of Elain’s). For Day 3 Adventurers, I’d really like to explore the rest of Prythian (this is why we NEED elucien next guys) and the courtly traditions and magical animals and what not. For Day 4 High Society I’d love to see Lucien and Elain put their diplomacy skills to work and navigate the gentry because they’re so period drama coded. Day 5 I may do a masquerade ball, but also it would also be cool to discuss metaphorical masks, like the mask of perfection Elain has kept up to keep everyone happy🥹

1. What are your plans for Elucien week?

I have very vague plans right now, but I plan to write a fic that starts on day 1 and ends on day 7. Maybe I’ll write some poetry and letters too because that’s so them. I’d make moodboards but I’ve already exhausted my elucien moodboard content. There’s just not enough lucien aesthetic pictures 🥹it’s easier to do women than men for some reason!

4. What are some Elucien headcanons you have?

I’ve already answered this one, but I’ll name a few more. Elain and Lucien will wind up High Lord/Lady or High King/Queen. Elain is the one who pursues Lucien. Elain and Lucien will visit Papa Archeron’s grave together, and perhaps Lucien will get to release Jesminda with Elain as well. Eris is very protective of Elain and takes her side over Lucien’s all the time (classic bros). She and the LOA knit together and have high tea, and she’s so happy because Elain has never had a good mom and LOA has always wanted a daughter🥺.

7. Describe your ideal Elucien HEA.

I WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO END UP HIGH LORD AND LADY (or even better, high king and queen) OF A COURT, MOST LIKELY DAY. I would love Elain to become besties with the BOE and smooth things over with Nesta (Lucien and Nesta besties when?😩). Also I need Azzy to be humbled and apologies to my bbs.

13. What initially drew you to Elucien?

I’ve loved Lucien since book one! His sass and charm and loyalty had me hooked from the beginning. I am pretty anti IC so I mainly focused on Lulu from ACOMAF onwards and voila! Elain and Lucien are declared mates in Hybern! I knew they were endgame at that point but I was unsure about Elain and I didn’t become hardcore until I joined the fandom and actually wrote from Elain’s POV! I really saw the potential in their dynamic and I’m obsessed with them now.
