“It’s raining when Arthur’s alarm clock wakes him up the next morning. And it’s not just a light summer sprinkle but a full on pouring rain. The sound of the drops landing on the roof and tapping on the windows is soothing and makes him want to burrow deeper under the covers and stay there for at least a few more hours. Preferably with Arthur keeping him warm.”

Summary: There is no one Morgana loves more than her brother Arthur and no one she is more fiercely protective over. A prat he might be, and an idiot on top of that, but he stil deserves the best of the best.

And Merlin, Morgana’s boss, is the best of the best.

Comment: This story is wonderful! The cafe sounds like my dream cafe and I wish I could visit it myself. I love Morgana playing match maker and Merlin and Arthur’s sweet relationship was really lovely to read about; I loved that they were both infatuated with the other but didn’t believe the other felt the same way. I also loved that Merlin was the big boss for once, that's quite rare.

@elveatas a lot of master’s programs here (at least in scientific fields) exist solely to funnel money into the corresponding PhD programs, as far as I can tell. I’m not surprised, but it does enrage me that MS programs end up being largely inaccessible to marginalized populations, alienate the very students who might need the MS as a step up towards qualifying for a PhD, and only further exacerbate the elitism inherent to academia and graduate education

@elveatas yeah lol my parents are fucked up in a l o t of ways. Things were way worse when I was in high school than they are now (and I really do feel awful for anyone who was following me back then and had to see all my personal posts). But since I moved out for college and also really embraced my role as the Family Disappointment(tm), it’s been easier to avoid my parents and their toxicity. I still have a Lot of mental bullshit to unpack though, which I tend to do on tumblr because I can’t ask my parents to put me in therapy.

So that said, I do tag most of my posts regarding my parents and how they’re awful with “#i hate my parents” so please feel free to blacklist that if you’d like. I’ll also probably stop posting about them in a week, which is when I move out again to start up a new job a thousand miles away :)
