“Stop looking at your feet and look at me.” -Jonghyun

An elegant dress, a small tiara, long blonde hair curled into a sidebraid, a mask on delicate features and the illusion was complete; nobody who knew Hanna would be able to figure out who she was, partly because the mask covered a good three-quarter of her face and also because it was rather unusual to see her like this, all dolled up. She was a simple female, one whose elegancy consisted of dust, smiles and general kindness. Unlike most other women, she didn’t find beauty in what the eye could see but more in what the heart could feel; or perhaps she had read too much to get lost in a world that was far different from hers.
The spoken order had the younger raising her head to briefly look at the other but no response came out. Instead, she chose to observe; from the way the male seemed to be surrounded by an air of cold curiosity to the way a frown settled on his features when she didn’t bother to give a reply. Of course, that could be seen as disrespectful and impolite and once Hanna realized that, it was her whose head lowered slightly whilst white teeth grazed her lower lip nervously. It was her first and likely even last time that she’d attend a masquerade ball and though things had been fun so far, she couldn’t deny the uncomfortableness that held her in a tight grip.
❝I’m looking at you, though I’m not sure if that was a good choice.❞
