I’m a bit too tired to comment on the statistic side of things so maybe I’ll do that later.

Idk why exactly but this post instantly got flagged as sexually explicit. I got it appealed pretty quickly but I still wasn’t able to read the nice words left the two users who rb it so I deleted it before more people interacted with it.

Mokiemorty and Whatlizardy I’m afraid your kind rbs got voided and I never got to read them in their entirety :(

Did some tests and found out it was the Excadrill Reborn image that was causing it. So I edited a low opacity noise layer over it and now it’s acceptable

Diggory’s team.

Excadrill is their ace Pkmn as it’s a mole that digs and has sharp claws. Now that Mega Excadrill exists, I figured Diggory can have one of those. An Hallowed Excadrill that gets super-powered when Diggory absorbed the power of Marolmar’s Heart in S3. Giving us Excadrill Reborn. Similar to Olivier’s Endles Storm Altaria.

Probopass is an odd choice, but I love the idea of Diggory having a Nosepass. It makes sense to me as Nosepass is a rock-compass that always points north. Hallowed Probopass is a Nosepass that evolved in the colour-and-space-defying area that is the Northmost Woods. It’s colours are inverted, its parts are connected yet disconnected, and it now sees the future after close exposure to the heart.

As for the rest, they match Diggory’s vibe. Banette and Mimikyu are sewn-up ghost dolls, and Cacturne is a spikey scarecrow, like Diggory. I’m sure there are plenty of punky Pkmn that could fill in Diggory’s sixth slot

Diggory Graves:

A revenant made by the witch Irene Mend. The same person who created the Hallowed versions of Drilbur and Excadrill.

Created from the body parts of President Mirza and her Northern exhibition crew. Gruesome origins aside, Diggory is quite the friendly face in the Scoutpost  

Helped me and Mr. Pensive multiple times during the reign of the Instrumentalist.

From what they’ve told me. Excadrill was their first Pkmn, a gift from their creator. The other four they found on their journeys.

Diggory is quite a reluctant battler. Tends to only battle if in a dangerous wild encounter, and not so much for the trainer sport.

Excadrill Reborn:

A new form of Excadrill powered by Indie Radiation from the Heart in the North.

Much like Olivier’s unique form of Castform and Altaria, Diggory’s Excadrill can now be pushed beyond it’s limits and enter a temporary super-powered form, much like the lost art of Mega Evolution.

Unlike Olivier who studied this phenomenon at Downing Hill, it seems Diggory doesn’t know how to control or conduct Excadrill whilst in this state and as a result, Excadrill finds itself in exceeding pain when in this form. 

Even if Diggory learnt how to wield this power, I’m not sure if they’d want to use it.

Hallowed Probopass:

A new variant of Probopass commonly found in the Northmost woods.

Undocumented until Diggory Graves returned from the North with on after their own Nosepass evolved.

The first instance of a Hallowed Pkmn that isn’t the Hallowed-type. Probopass’ changes come from being exposed to the Heart’s corruption rather than the black rains.

Hallowed Probopass exposure to the Heart has given it the ability to foresee futures and telekinetically launch its distorted pieces at its opponents.

Probopass’ features have been misplaced, and yet Probopass seems to be unaffected by this. Each move as it they were still in place.

Common predator in the Hallowoods.

Ambush attackers. Surprises prey by bursting from the ground beneath them

Although affected by the Black Rains, the Pkmn’s alterations appear partly human-made.

Ridiculous brute strength. Able to lift trucks effortlessly. Definitely a Pkmn for more experienced trainers.

It’s muscly body threatens to tear constantly. Mr. Pensive theorised that the stitches that hold it together were a change given to this species by Irene Mend (a witch familiar with soul binding). Suggesting she may have had some part to play in the creation of this Hallowed variant.

The Wickers in Season 6?

We don’t know yet but I hava feeling the consequences for eating Shank might be the Wickers undergo some sorta Shanksformation, becoming more pig-like. Here’s my envisioning of that.

Oookay so Hallowoods has returned! Here are some ramblings and two worries that be plaguing me.

Worry 1: WHY IS EVERYONE LEAVING?

So by the end of the day, the time will have finally come to raid the Quartet’s lair. Hell yeah!

Except a bunch of the protagonists for some reason think they have time for side-questing.

I get this isn’t really the Rescher’s battle, but still feels a bit douchey of Olivier to leave Riot’s side bc she wants to see witches in their natural habitat.

And I get that stopping the Black Rains is important to Diggory but when Riot asks “Can this wait till tomorrow?” the answer is YES IT CAN. Olivier don’t got no deadline and Diggory’s got a deadline of 50 years, so a few hours ain’t gonna matter.

Diggory claims they’ll be a only few hours and Olivier says they’ll be back by sunset. I can believe this, they’re both speedy people, but why put this pressure/anxiety on Riot now when you could… y’know, wait till after the raid???

It’s a bit stupid. I am down for Clara to be more involved and for more scenes with Olivier and Friday. But this is stupid.

Worry 2: MULDER ALLEN BETTER NOT BE THE FIDDLE!

Mulder was one of my suspects in S5, mainly bc who else would be a part of the Quartet and want to spare Shelby’s life?

But then we had the episodes Plots and Stands, where the Quartet are all accounted for at the Chapel, and Mulder is in the Root District finding Shelby and Shank chilling at his place.

This should mean Mulder had an alibi because it’s hella unlikely Fiddle bolted it all the way from the Chapel to Scout City before Cole and Vincent.

So I thought Mulder was clean, but now Mulder’s been grievously wounded and bed bound, suspiciously after Fiddle took a swan dive off of Danielle’s balcony. (Similar to how we see Heather limping in S5 after Drum gets shot at the end of S4).

Doesn’t help that we see Shank recognise Fiddle’s face in a bonus story, or that Fiddle isn’t present when Tiberius wakes.

There‘s one thing though that irks me about this and that the fact that Mulder wasn’t mentioned to be grievously harmed during the movie night at Raj’s place!

Movie night was after Fiddle fell and after Scout City’s fire, suggesting that either Mulder was greatly injured during movie night and Nikignik didn’t think to narrate it, or Mulder got hurt helping people with the fire after the fire had been put out? It doesn’t add up, I hope I’m missing something here

Random thoughts:

Shelby’s got a new hand now, which I want to say is cool but I found it cooler when she declined Jonah’s off for one. Weird that she calls it a “rental” from Milo. Does that mean Milo’s gonna take it back at some point, that’s a bit mean. Is Shelby being paid to test drive the Graspentwine or smt? That could explain her change in wanting a prosthetic. Perhaps she just wants it for the Quartet raid.

I am enjoying Scout City’s Botantechnology. The four plant inventions we’ve heard so far all sound like Pokémon names.

RIP to Stormaiden + Shelby, I don’t know why I thought this ship would be instant and uncomplicated

RIP to Fishbone, Mort would’ve loved you.

I was hopeful Fishbone would just respawn at the Industry like Polly and Barb did but I’m guessing Urnundurn erasing doesn’t allow that. 

Omen better stay clear of Tiberius!

I hope Tiberius never gets that cup of water. At least Indrid’s out of the picture

If HFTH was to become a live action series how would cis het producers ruin it?

Disclaimer: I need to make clear: I am against everything I’ve listed below. These are NOT my wants and desires for what a live action Hallowoods could look like. I am poking fun at typical ways producers change and screw up a live action adaptation by making changes that weren’t needed or asked for.

Read at your own risk. This list of “ideas” is very cursed

Diggory and Percy Romance? Nah, Diggory and Riot romance with a message about not judging someone on how they look.

There will be a argumentative scene in Season 2 where Valerie tells Riot their relationship is wrong (as Diggory is made of her dead friends) and Riot will stand up for herself. This scene will be portrayed as an “empowering women moment”.

But what of Percy? His character will be fused with Al. A young ghost boy on the run from his evil father Solomon.

Clara Martin’s now’s Riot’s childhood friend from before the rains (even though that doesn’t make sense). Her adventures at Downing Hill will come in a spin off series

Olivier barely gets any lines, and is more of a silent merciless villain who works for Solomon for no given reason. Olivier changes sides randomly at the end of S1, going from puppy-kicking villain to silent anti-hero in a blink of an eye. The protagonists barely question this and there is no redemption arc

Solomon’s homo-trans-misogy-phobia is replaced with ableism. He goes to Irene to “”“fix””” Percy’s disabilities and they turn Percy into a ghost to do so. The show presents this as a good thing as it “””frees””” Percy from his “””broken””” body, but the evil witch Irene curses Solomon and turns him evil which is how he becomes the Instrumentalist.

Walter Pensive is played by Jack Black

The show doesn’t get enough time to feature all the characters so the Polly, Yaretzi, and Mort S1 plot line get cut.

But Mort would be good for merchandise so instead they make up a Fort Freedom B-plot for S1, where the Resting Place gang is imprisoned by FF. Mort replaces Ricou and meets Nolan who agrees to help Mort’s people. Buck would join there cause to escape his bully: the mean military Sargent, Rick Rounds.

By the end of the conflict, Rick Rounds will be blamed for the imprisonment of the Resting Place gang and FF gets a new leader: the fair and kind Kellyanne Wicker.

No one questions Nolan’s invisibility and somehow his face is the only part of him that isn’t invisible bc they’ve got to be able to show off the semi-popular actor who plays him. 

There are the vaguest hints/suggestions that Nolan and Buck might be interested in each other in this B-plot, but it will never be developed.

One of the Mendies’ name is just incorrect, like Huntery Waites, and it never gets corrected

Diggory is the shows only trans rep, as they are now a male who is made of different females. The producers know jack shit about Diggory’s past selves, and have Diggory played by a white cis man.

Season 1 would end with the debut of Lady Ethel Mallory, Valerie, and BotCo who have been mentioned only one or twice at this point.

Season 2 ends with Fort Freedom saving the Scout Post from a Froglin invasion, and the PROD Squad saving Oswald and BotCo from the subterfuge and manipulative rule of Lady Ethel

Marolmar lore gets introduced / exposition dumped onto the audience from Cindy randomly in Season 3. It will never be explained how Cindy knows about Marolmar.

Cindy’s character will be fused with Danielle’s and her dreaming powers will guide the S3 North Crew through their perilous journey. With this fusion comes a love triangle between Digs, Riot and Cindy-Danielle as Cind-ielle’s late partner is now a part of Diggory.

The drama of this love triangle climaxes when the North Crew reaches the dive before Marolmar’s heart, and the three fight over who should deliver the bomb to the Heart.

Mort isn’t here btw. The merchandise didn’t sell and his last appearance was at the end of the made up B-plot back in S1.

Indie lore / the black rain is hardly explained lest you watch the Downing Hill spin off show.

When the Producers get backlash for not including main characters, such as Jonah, Hector, Zelda, and Nikignik, they pretend it was all part of their plan and release a line up of spin off series focussed on their stories set to release each year.

The series gets a lawsuit because of Friday Rescher’s similarities to Wednesday Addams and to fix this Friday just gets renamed Penny Rescher, and the CPE Institute plot line get removed.

There is a poorly acted scene where Clara and Friday Penny confess their feelings for each other with a “Clara… I’m gay” , “I’m gay too, Penny”. They will be the series only confirmed gay couple.

The show doesn’t generate enough revenue to make an adaptation for Season 4 and beyond, but at least Season 3 ended with an after credit scene that briefly showed Shank.

Hello from the Hallowdex #3

I got a new apple pen and now I’ve turned Mort into a Pokémon!

This is Friendsnip, an original Fakémon character (unlike the last two who are redesigns of existing Pokémon characters). They have the same ability as the Pkmn Wishiwashi where a bunch of Friendsnip can group together to form a larger version of themselves. A nod to Mort’s desire to make friends.

Please give me ideas for more Hallowoods characters to Pokémon-ify, the art block be big rn.
