From our trip to the @elysiumhotel This is the library. It felt like we were in a Palace. Like a Jane Austen. Proper ladies get together. The library was perfect for our event; a baby shower, meaning we could make as much noise as we wanted. It just meant that we were a little bit far from the staff so sometime we were a little out if sight out of mind I think when trying to get someone's attention. When the staff came though they were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was beautiful and their attention to details in the way they serve things was great. We ordered 2 vegetarian afternoon tea and it was no problem at all! Vegan is also available. There were SO many cakes and scones with clotted cream. The sandwiches were so tasty too. When we go again I think I will ask for less cakes and more sandwiches, which I'm sure will be fine. The sandwich fillings were very surprising as well as some traditional and they were all great. The hotel itself if 5 star and the decor and atmosphere is beautiful. I saw some really unusual 3D canvasses on the wall. Next time I want to find out who the artist is. Next on my list is to try their which is apparently also beautiful! A ponytail of sleek brown waves swished back and forth to the rhythm of heels clacking on the floor as AR entered Elysium. Hells this place was fancy. She’d never been anywhere like this before that was for sure. Still, Adalia didn’t let it show and instead claimed a glass of champagne which she promptly necked before depositing the glass on another server’s tray. To start with the skirted the edge of the room, allowing herself to scope out the party and its attendees. Her eyes were drawn to a woman in an elegant black dress but what was unusual about her was the cane in her hand. unable to help herself, AR found herself studying the woman slightly, trying to put the pieces together. And then she got caught, the other woman’s gaze catching her’s but she didn’t look away, in fact she practically stared harder while the hint of a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.

Tessa had been in two minds about attending the Elysium party. Part of her wanted to see where her little sister was going to be working but the other party was so not comfortable with how dressy and fancy the event was. But then Danny asked her to go with him and that changed everything. The pair had been flirting behind the bar practically since day one a few months ago but she would never be the one to ask a guy out and he’d never asked her so she figured it was just banter between co-workers. Of course underneath it all she wanted him to ask her but she would never admit it. So when her asked her to be his date for the opening, she obviously said yes. However that came with it’s own challenges of course because she had no clue how to dress for this sort of event. Cue Emma going full makeover on her in order to get her ready. And now here Tessa was outside a party she never would’ve dreamed she’d been seen at in a dress that made her feel like a complete fraud looking for her date. The whole situation was completely foreign but luckily there was one element that wasn’t and that was Danny; decked out like Batman. “Hey you,” she said as she approached him, a smile breaking out on her face at the sight of him.

        ❛❛     TOO MUCH  care.       ❜❜     treated  as  something  fragile.     sickly.     soul  sedated.      girl  confined     :     a  thornless  flower  struggling  to  thrive.     (     don’t  forget  that  a  sheltered  rose  needs  a  little  room  to  bloom  outside  her  bedroom.     )     care  consuming,    care  isolating!      builds  up     CHAOS     inside  a  person.     

A  MOTH  WITH  ITS  WINGS  PINNED.         the  silence  sighs,     draped in gloom.    so  long  concealed  from  vile  streets,     in best interest,     has  made  it  difficult  to  exist  now.     THERE  IS  NO  EXISTENCE  IN  SUCH  ISOLATION!     overboard  safekeeping  becomes  something  negative,     something  awful.     perhaps  they  had  been  right.    (     poor  shilo,    when  fragile  things  fall,     they  break!     )     ❛❛     but  not  anymore.      ❜❜
