PSA - Email notifications on FFnet

Hi friends,

Just posting this here in case, like me, you were unaware that email notifications on FFnet have changed.

You now not only have to opt in to email notifications to receive updates on the stories you follow - BUT you also have to re-do it at least once every three months, as FFnet now automatically resets this option to NO after 90 days.

I only discovered this, when going to read an old favourite story only to discover a new chapter had been published, and I had missed it, due to not receiving a notification.

This really annoys me, as not only did I miss the update of a favourite story but the author probably thinks their followers are losing interest in their work, not realising their readers may not be receiving notifications of updates because FFnet has turned them off!

I don't know when this happened; I just saw it myself and a fellow writer noticed it Wednesday.

You now have to opt-in to get email notifications.

I need to ask, has anyone else stopped receiving email notifications from tumblr? I used to get them, but for the last few months haven’t received any so if I’ve missed something, I’m sorry. Also if anyone has a solution to this, that would be great.
