" you're splitting hairs. does it help you sleep better at night to know you're only slightly worse at being terrorists or something? "
"No, given we aren't terrorists." Emile shrugs. "Criminals and whatever else though? Obviously."

The sight of rustling bushes and brush was one to behold for any passersby, though most who did pass by did so quickly, not wanting to mess with whatever it was that was in there. A lucky boon for Dawn, for she was what was causing the stir.
Beneath her palms, the late autumn ground was cold, but she still continued on in her search. Thorns and branches that managed to catch skin made superficial cuts, while others snagged on her clothes and in her hair. The sun had been making its descent when she started, and now, the darkness of night had long since fallen over.
An exasperated sigh left the woman, resting her forehead on the grass below her, of which had shed its vibrant green for the browns of upcoming winter. Her search efforts were clearly fruitless, though she would continue to rummage and rustle through the brush.
She could hear people still walking on the trails around her, footsteps quickening in pace whenever they reached the thicket where she currently was. That was, until someone wound up stopping, voice cutting through the cold evening air.
It didn't take long for her to put two and two together—a concerned citizen must have brought this whole thing to someone's attention, and after taking a step back mentally... Dawn could absolutely see why.
"Oh—" she pulls herself up from her position, brushing loose twigs and thorns from inky black hair in effort to lessen her disheveled state some, "sorry. I didn't mean to scare anyone or cause a stir, I— Wait. I recognize you." Dawn made her way beneath one of several streetlights adorning the area, if only to show she, indeed, was no threat, before opening her mouth to speak again.
"Blaise, right? It's Dawn."
