Hey guys! I wanna tell you about a cool (free) app!
It’s called Emergency Chat, and it’s available for both iOS and Android. It’s made by an autistic man and it’s to help when you go nonverbal!
When you start it up, there’s a splash screen with a message to whoever you’re trying to communicate with. Default has this message:
[image: screenshot of a message with the title Meltdown: “I gave you my phone because I can’t use or process speech right now, but I am still capable of text communication. My hearing and tactile senses are extremely sensitive in this state, so please refrain from touching me. Please keep calm, and proceed to the next screen that has a simple chat client through which we can communicate.”]
This message was created with autistic meltdowns in mind, but you can totally customize the message to suit your needs. It’s pretty neat, and definitely helpful.

Please keep calm, and proceed to the next screen that has a simple chat client through which we can communicate.”]
People go nonverbal for all kinds of reasons and helping others around you help you through whatever you need is very important. This app helps you do that with ease!
