4. Queasy burps is more my thing but hiccups are ok too.
8. “I need to throw up!” Shows how desperate the character is to get something out of their system.
28. Either or. Depends on how I’m writing the scenario
Ask game: pepto bismol, hot water bottle, and belly rubs for both Casey and Samir! 🖤
Sorry I’m so late to these!!
pepto-bismol: does your character take anything when they’ve got a stomachache? if so, what?
Samir: almost 100% of the time. He is SUCH a baby when it comes to having an upset stomach or bellyache, so if he’s feeling sick he’ll just stop whatever he’s doing* and find whatever he can to make himself feel better ❤️🩹 He prefers stuff like tea (ginger is his favorite remedy), since they’re a little more comforting than straight meds. But if he’s really not feeling great, he definitely won’t say no to Tums or Pepto.
*excluding football games or practice. He is a TROOPER when it comes to playing, nothing can get in his way of that
Casey: sometimes. Typically when he has an upset stomach, it’s accompanied with nausea and inevitably leads to throwing up. He kinda goes into denial mode until he’s like, minutes away from puking, and until then insists he’s alright and can handle it. That kind of shit doesn’t fly with Samir though, and he can tell when Casey isn’t feeling well from a mile away. So if he’s around, he always insists that Casey has some tea (which he brews, of course) or something so he can feel a little better.
hot water bottle: what makes them more comfortable when they aren’t feeling well?
Samir: he pulls out all the stops when he’s unwell. Putting on comfy clothes, wrapping himself up in a blanket and curling up on the couch or bed with, you guessed it, a hot water bottle over his stomach. If he’s feeling particularly ill he might keep a trash bin or bucket nearby, just in case. The idea that he runs the risk of being sick isn’t comforting, but having something to throw up in helps him relax a bit, since if he does end up getting sick he won’t have to worry about running to the bathroom.
Casey: napping. Just straight napping is his go-to comfort. If he can’t fall asleep or if the nap didn’t help he might put on some bad comedy movies to distract himself. If he knows he’s gonna puke (like if he has a stomach bug or something), it also helps ease his mind to have a bin or bucket on him, much like Samir.
Also, I know it’s INCREDIBLY cliché of me to say “each other 🥺” but it’s true ☝️ Number one comfort for both of them is gotta be laying on the other’s lap and letting them play with their hair.
belly rub: how does your character react when their significant other is sick?
Samir: IMMEDIATELY drops whatever tf he’s doing to take care of Casey. Doesn’t matter if he’s got practice, a class, any other commitment, as soon as Casey says, “Hey I’m not feeling so good,” his boyfriend becomes the priority (in part because if Casey tells him he’s not feeling well, he is for sure not feeling well). He gets a little frantic and overbearing when looking after Casey and kinda panics sometimes. Still, he’s a really good and attentive caretaker and always has some sort of treatment (from Tylenol and peppermint tea to cuddles) to fix his boyfriend right up. He can be level-headed if need be, even if Casey has to remind him that him throwing up doesn’t mean he has the plague.
Casey: definitely more chill than Samir, but just as caring and attentive when it comes to his boyfriend feeling sick. He is kind of clueless when it comes to knowing the exact procedure for taking care of a something like the stomach flu (“Would some Monster Energy make you feel better? 😰”), but even if he’s out of his element he doesn’t hesitate to do whatever he can to make Samir feel better. Luckily, Samir’s immune system can do most of the heavy lifting, so all he really needs is for Casey to listen to him whine a bit and baby him, which Casey is more than happy to do.
As always, thank you so much for the asks!! ❤️❤️
Emeto prompts! Yellow ver 🌟💫✨
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while to compile my favourite dialogue, so here it is!
hold my hair back and thermometer for blake?
Thank you, anon!!
Ask Game
hold my hair back: do they like to be alone or have company when they feel ill?
Absolutely alone. He generally prefers to be alone when he's in a vulnerable state, but at the time of the story taking place, he's got something extremely private and embarrassing going on, which he desperately doesn't want the others to witness.
thermometer: how do fevers effect your character’s stomach?
For another (different) secret reason that I haven't revealed yet, Blake's whole body is quite sensitive to changes in temperature. Just the slightest fever will make his insides react as though he's suffering mild heat exhaustion, so we're talking full-blown nausea and cramps.
Plz answer as many questions as you wanna for Jacqric and/or Cacello plz I need to know
Thank you for the ask, completely anonymous asker!
1.Who gets sick more easily, and who has the impenetrable immune system?
Casey doesn’t get sick very easily, but anybody’s immune system is weak compared to Marcello’s. Dude spent his whole life being an unhealthy dumb shit who gives precisely 0.00 fucks about his body, nothing can touch him anymore.
2. Who tries to hide their illness, and who tells everyone how miserable they feel?
Cedric is surprisingly quiet when he starts to feel bad; he’s afraid of not being able to pull his weight, so he tries to soldier through everything with a straight face unless it’s a hospital worthy emergency. Jacques isn’t so much the opposite, but once the news is out that he’s sick, he pretty much gives up on trying to hide it and complains endlessly about everything.
5. Who collapses into bed at the first feverish shiver, and who stubbornly ignores the illness until they truly can’t any more?
Casey is pretty good at taking care of himself, so if his thermometer is reading any higher than 100F, he’s already got himself under the covers until it’s over. Marcello, like all of his problems, believes if he ignores it it’ll go away. Except his illnesses tend to hit him like a brick, so he can’t ignore it for long before he collapses.
8. Who gets nauseous on amusement park rides, and who hops on the biggest rollercoaster in the park?
DEFINITELY Jacques for the former. He can hardly ride in the car without getting nauseous the way Cedric drives. He tried, really tried to make it through an amusement park date and threw up after the first ride; Cedric, on the other hand, would have kept going all day but was happy to call it quits and go home.
Just. All of them for Jack, please? (Am I predictable? Yes. Do I care? Not particularly)
KEEP BEING PREDICTABLE! I love that you love Jack! Thank you Jay! 💙
1. What position do they get in when throwing up into the toilet - kneeling or squatting or standing? Jack is pretty much in all categories - he’ll kneel, squat, stand, have his head practically in the toilet water, just he’s never the same, or consistent.
2. Hand braced against the wall or clutching to the rim of the toilet? He clutches to the toilet.
3. Do they hold their stomach or not want to touch it?He holds onto his stomach, especially if he’s naturally ill.
4. Shirt on or off?Generally on, but he sweats a lot when he’s ill, so he will take it off if he can.
5. Let their mouth hang open or clamp it shut when puking?Definitely open, even worse when he was high/drunk.
6. Projectile vomit or small amount? He’s more of a projectile puker.
7. Look for a toilet/bucket as soon as they start to feel nauseous or only when they’re about to lose it?He’s pretty useless - he’ll wait right until the point of heaving until he’ll look for somewhere.
8. Likes to drink water or refuses to have anything? He tends to refuse everything
9. Do they get dizzy when they’re nauseous or is it purely tummy trouble? He normally is just a stomach trouble person
10. Are they a vocal complainer or stoical silent sufferer? If there are people around, he will moan!
eyes on you for Casey!
Holy shit this has been in my inbox for like a month IM SORRY anyway good question 😌
eyes on you: has your character ever been ill in public?
God, SO many times. Casey is a really impulsive guy who kinda has shit judgement so, he does a lot of stuff that can end up getting him in trouble later.
First thing that comes to mind is him drinking too much,, he has a pretty solid alcohol tolerance, but he absolutely does not know when to stop when he’s at a social function. It’s all fun and games until your stomach starts gurgling and you can taste the alcohol coming back up. So yeah, he’s definitely puked from drinking too much… on the party host’s rug (rip), in some outdoor bushes, on the subway, on the floor of a public restroom with no open stalls, even on stage at his own show. At some point he’s probably gotten too drunk in an Applebees and barfed on the waiter’s shoes </3
Most of the times he’s puked in public have been due to alcohol overindulgence, but a couple times he’s gotten food poisoning while being out and about. He’s the type of guy to see a dodgy little hole-in-the-wall place and say, “Sure it’s got a C rating for food safety but they’ve got good stuff I’m sure it’ll be fine.”
(Turns out it wasn’t fine and now he’s projectile vomiting chunks of undercooked chicken on the side of the road.)
