Emily Darkness Cookie's berserk transformation is not something she activates willingly. It is born from overwhelming emotion. When Emily believes she is about to lose Zero Ouelette Cookie, her anger, fear, and desperation spiral completely out of control. Those emotions become so intense that they shatter her self-control, allowing the secret hidden within her to erupt all at once.
As the corruption overwhelms her, her body transforms into a towering demonic form. In this state, Emily no longer thinks clearly; her only instinct is to protect Zero at any cost, destroying anything she believes stands in her way.
While the berserk form rampages, Emily's consciousness becomes trapped deep within herself, imprisoned behind strange, glowing root-like tendrils of dark energy. There, she lies completely unconscious, unable to see, hear, think, or perceive anything happening in the outside world. Her real mind remains sealed away as the berserk form acts entirely on overwhelming instinct and emotion rather than Emily's own will.
When the transformation finally ends, Emily awakens as though she had been asleep the entire time. She has no memory whatsoever of what happened during her berserk state, leaving her confused by the destruction and the reactions of those around her.
Inspiration: The transformation is inspired by this scene, which comes from Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, one of China's most popular animated series. Originally beginning as a lighthearted slice-of-life comedy, the franchise later evolved to include serialized stories with deeper themes, higher stakes, and more dramatic action while still maintaining its comedic charm. Emily's berserk transformation takes inspiration from that.
