Plot please for au : )

au! dark glass of water: 1937, New York. PI Rossignol is keen for a new case. Far removed from his previous splendor as superintendent, he is a man haunted by his past, using whiskey as a ring of salt. He can hardly believe his luck when the recently widowed socialite, Mme Sauvetere, walks into his office on a stormy night. She claims her husband was murdered by supernatural forces, and that those forces are coming after her too. She claims it is down to a cursed necklace he took from Egypt, which has since gone missing. At first he thinks she is crazy, but crazy money is money. However the longer be works for Mme Sauvetere, the darker, and more dangerous the search for this jewel becomes.

As his father lived to be well into his 60s, Santiago is hopeful that he will live a long life, hopefully continuing at the job he loves for as long as he can. He’s the sort of man who will stay active until he’s in the grave.

Santiago was sort of mindblown the first time he was shown to his rooms in the Tuileries.  The rooms were absolutely enormous, and the bed was, quite frankly absurd - what in the hell was a featherbed?
