making it a separate post. subaru comes out as trans after a long arduous battle with internalized transmisogyny and her terrible experience trying to come out the first time and as she's telling emilia she's super emotional and doing the whole "...do you still love me...?" spiel because she's scared emilia will reject her now.

emilia is silent for a moment of contemplation. this is her first time ever encountering the concept of trans people. she is staying silent for a long time. subaru is getting nervous. if this goes on for longer she is going to cry.

except emilia's next words are, "if you're the girl now, can i be the boy then?"

subaru stops crying and is simply too flabbergasted. she entirely miscalculated and emilia doesnt know what gay people are either. she tries to explain that people of the same gender can date each other sometimes and besides otto is gay surely you've heard him mention this before...? and she did but she thought otto meant he was happy to be here. (nobody uses gay that way anymore!)

emilia keeps insisting that no she has to be the boy in the relationship now. no emilia you can still be a woman it's fine i like women. except emilia follows up with no i WANT to be the boy. and subaru is still sitting there. tears dried. mouth open. yeah okay you can be the boy and emilia cheers.

I kept forgetting to post on tumblr but uhm... Here it is!!!

I drew this for the Subaru uke event in japan 英雄と出鱈目ダンスパーティー, it was... a really fun event!! Even when I walked in late, scrambled around looking for Rezero and bought too many books I can't actually read but want to support the artists/writers so badly. Even for the ones I didnt managed to secure a book/merch from I still gifted them the postcard that I printed... I might just be too obsessed (is this really a shock?)
