A bright smile
The despair of the heart
A melancholy that lingers...
(The above is written for Emma inspired by the thrilling scene between Alicent and Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon season two finale)
Emma ❤️ is brilliant; they are lovely, and they are so down to earth. I utter these words quite often because they are true. Emma set our screens ablaze in House of the Dragon season two; may it be via a grin, a chuckle, a piercing stare that melts the heart or via a tender expression, Emma delivered all with aplomb. Once upon a time
It was all I dreamt:
To be with you
To wake next to you
Yesteryear's dream
Comes knocking fiercely
At my door; temptation
Whispering all about me
The yearnings pull me
In their depths; the desires
Of my youth resurface
I close my eyes; I see us
Come with me on dragon's
Back, just the two of us
To a distant land; I'll make
It work; trust me--trust us
Come with me--your voice
Reaches me in the now
The spaces between us
Lengthen; I see you afar
Why? Why is providence
Dancing in the spaces between
Us? Why must fate have
The final say? I miss us
Tears dance across my pupils
And yours. We are grounded
To our destinies--to a reality
That's stronger than our lifelines
