15. At what point in writing a fic, do you decide to quit?

I have never in my life given up on a fic. I have WIPs I haven’t touched in 5+ years that I still think about with fondness. 💭Someday, when the time is right, I’ll get back into this fandom and finish it

That said, it’s tough for me to come back to a fic once the magic of my initial inspiration has faded. For some fics, inspo never wanes. For some fics, I’ve gotten right up to the end and lost inspiration, but forced myself to finish. But if I’m less than 50% into a fic and lose inspo, chances are I won’t come back to it. I’m trying to make my peace with this and take on smaller projects. It’s a work in progress
