Nancy, when does the lobbying start for shows to be eligible for Emmys and other awards ? Is there a correct way we the fans can get behind our Blacklist and start making some noise ? because it really is about time that they are recognized for the excellent work they do !

I’m sorry for the delay. I do agree wholeheartedly. It’s past time that The Blacklist wins another Emmy.
Emmy submissions are being accepted now and the entry deadline is May 6th. Unfortunately we the fans can’t nominate a favourite show or actor for these awards. The program, or actor, need to submit themselves for consideration and then their peers vote to decide on the nominations on June 10th.
Fans may not be able to vote for the nominations, but they have always shown their support through Twitter events asking for people’s consideration to nominate James Spader, The Blacklist, or any of the cast, writers or directors. For the past 5 years #EmmyForSpader has been used to show support for James Spader. My personal favourite was the #GiveSpaderAnEmmy event organized by @sweetcat1968 a few seasons ago! Sooo much fun!

James Spader deserves an Emmy for his role as Raymond Reddington in TheBlacklist!!

Several weeks ago, a few of us started discussing having a James Spader Appreciation Week during the summer hiatus as a cross-ship way to celebrate the career of this great actor without whom The Blacklist would not be what it is. While we may disagree on a lot in this fandom, everyone loves James Spader!
Emmy nominations are scheduled to be announced on July 14 so we have chosen the week of July 11. Hopefully, James will be rewarded with a nomination during the week!
Themes will be announced as we get closer but will be broad enough to cover not only his work as Raymond Reddington on the Blacklist but also his extensive film and television career. Theme suggestions are welcome so please message @alyblacklist or @imyourplusone with any comments or questions!
James Spader brings people together
It's wonderful to see that finally every Blacklist fan agrees. Because let's face it, we disagree on everything else. Whether it's Lizzington or Keen2 or Daddygate or Keenler, we'll probably never reach the same conclusion, even when it's canon. But especially last night it was clear to everyone: James Spader is freaking amazing. Yes, I'm gushing all the time, because he IS amazing, but his performance in the last episode has killed me all over again. And I know it has killed many of you. How amazingly talented can one man be? I really do hope he'll get the Emmy he so well deserves. What a great performance. Way to get all the fans to get along for once ;) James, you're an outstanding actor. Thank you for killing me. Feel free to do so over and over again.
