Today was like "catch up day" for my training. Probably not the best thing to do, but I did it. And it felt good.
I had to 2 2 mile runs and one 3 mile run.
Like always I started a little tooooo strong on my first 2 mile run, but I recovered and kept within the pace limits for Runkeeper.
My foot was causing me problems, but they worked themselves out until I was walking back to my car and my foot really hurt.. And now, trying to walk around the house it hurts greatly lol. I think my shoe has too much padding 🤷🏻♀️
So, tonight's run was "surges"...on a treadmill.
I did the surges at a 9:50 pace according to the treadmill and it felt sooooo fast....but it felt soooo good.
I do need to figure out how to run at that pace because while the breathing wasnt tooo bad...my foot was having problems. It felt like I was rolling my foot on the outside part...which I need to control so I dont hurt myself.
Maybe a running story can help me with that? I'm also hoping it warms up again so I can run outside...
I also feel like the treadmill pace was off...but whatevers
I thought this morning was supposed to be 2 miles....so I did 2 miles...nah. it was supposed to be 3. Oh well. I will switch the workouts around.
This was also my first workout in the morning in a very long time. And I had forgotten how much I enjoy it. Gonna try and move my workouts to the morning I think.
Also I walked these 2 miles because my legs were not happy with me even after a rest day yesterday lol....YOU CAN DO IT LEGS.
My favorite part of my run was when I took off my jacket because I was too warm and it wasn't raining and then 10 seconds later it started raining
So happy with this run I could cry. 3.5 miles in 35 minutes. Did it as a fartlek run which has been really great for me lately. It reminds me I can get back to where I was, I can get faster. Stretched after, then did my upper body strength routine. I'm gonna look for a kettlebell this weekend for lower body
3.5 miles today to start the month. My legs didn't wanna do the thing, but we got it done. Already stretched, I have to foam roll too
4.5 miles today. In case you're wondering how rural of an area I live in, I saw a tractor parade on my run.
