Yesterday, I ran 8km. Today was 6. Both days I got out way too late and suffered in the heat. Otherwise, I felt pretty good and the pain meds were working again. Just usual neck/back discomfort but nothing out of the ordinary. I need to start getting up/going to bed earlier and leaving earlier.
I’ve been using the app RunKeeper on and off for over a dozen years to track my runs. (Before that, I was using MapMyRun). I tried Strava a few years ago but the GPS kept going out on it. I got fed up and deleted the app along with my data. (Apparently, it was a glitch that affected a lot of people and they’ve since fixed it.) I’m now having issues with Runkeeper. It keeps disconnecting from my Apple Watch when tracking which is frustrating. I’m also extraordinarily bitter that some of the features that I used to like are now only accessible under subscription. This happened a few months ago. I got no notice about it and irked me. (I used to be a subscriber when I ran a lot but I’m not sure if it’s worth it now as I don’t run as much as I used to.)
I’m considering going back to Strava as it has a few more cool features such as creating video of your runs. I also miss the social aspect of it. It was nice to cheer others on. (I don’t know anyone on RunKeeper.) It looks like they’re also both comparable in price for the subscription features if I chose to go that route, too.
Anyone else on here use Strava and really like it?
I may end up trying it again. If I really like it, there’s an option to transfer all of my Runkeeper files over to Strava.
Ella also made me a bouquet 💐 of Lego flowers.
I thought this was so cool. I need a better vase but it still looks pretty awesome.
I better shower and get a move on. It’s going to be a busy day.
