Here, as promised, Emo-Donald... Emo!nald... the best thing that could ever happen to us.
And my take on how young Della could have looked like. She is cheerful and adventurous and totally ruining Donald’s emo-mood.

Headcanon of the day:
Young emo Donald tried to burn his sailor suit as an act of rebellion but accidentally set Scrooge's mansion on fire instead.
Seems like having an emo phase runs in the family
I love the fact that preteen Donald (x) is already as done and dead inside as adult Donald...
also RIP color scheme the whole Ducktales fandom gave him
young donald is not emo he is GRUNGE
I guess Donald doesn’t care what we call him, he just wants to brood in his room and compose songs
I’m so gonna draw my precious overdramatic emo boy Donald today; whatever it costs
About that “Last Christmas!” promo
(Screenshots taken from this promo)
Well, looks like this episode is gonna pick up the Della arc again (finally! yes!!!), setting this up with Dewey getting lost during the Christmas time travel shenanigans a la Charles Dickens...
Eventually with Dewey ending up in the time of the “Christmas past”, where he meets...
A young Donald.
(It’s most likely to be young Donald, hearing his voice in the promo.)
Seems like Donald was stuck in an emo phase (I’d never thought I needed this, but here it is and I love it) when he was about the triplets’ age... Emo Donald... Emonald...
Also, Donald carries Della’s scarf with him, so Dewey and him are possibly looking for Della in the woods (Della Duck, specialist in disappearing, har har), until they... end up in a trap.
Which was probably set up by Della, since we know she loved playing trick on her brother.
I cannot wait for that episode, since I am a sucker for Christmas episodes and time travel plots, and I definitely cannot wait for Dewey meeting his mom, even if it’s taking place in the past... the fandom waited so long for getting a look on young Della. And for some quality Duck twin interaction.
This is certainly going to be a great, fun (and probably heartfelt) episode.
