In the blocking, they are hunched over STUCK in front of a CORNER with space separating them. The SETTING SUN is in BETWEEN them, dimming and dwindling. There is so much EMPTY foreground space. The horizon is BLOCKED by trees. All of this signifying a limit or boundary to their, Mike and El's, relationship.
Looming over El's shoulders is a hilly field. The same or similar one to where Romeo and Juliet was infamously mentioned, "star-crossed lovers…it's all a bit Shakespearean," Dustin once said while building cerebro, which again parallels the radio station they are sitting on.
The use of golden hour recalls the scene of Will giving Mike the painting, but here it's a sunset instead of a sunrise—going in a negative direction in terms of emotions. The golden hour light separating and enveloping them evokes Will, yet again. As does El subtly dressed like "superman," which is another parallel of Mike's line to Will in that van scene. Perhaps, the painting is mentioned here.
It must also be mentioned that El is crying with sorrowful eyes. In the first shot, their heads/bodies are simultaneously turned towards and away from each other. A half-committal to communicate. Then in the next shot, El has to make an effort to smile, twisting into a painful expression, that doesn't last long as it fades out to black—which often signifies the end of something, be it a film, a sequence, an idea, or their relationship.
She smiles when he's talking/looking her way. This could communicate that she's trying to be supportive FOR him, possibly as a way to comfort. I don't suppose to truly know what is going through their heads or what is being said. During the golden hour van scene Mike was oblivious at that point to his true feelings. Yet, El, crying like Will, seems to hide behind a smile or a painful lie on his behalf. This parallel through the lighting and costuming hints to Mike needing to acknowledge his (and her) true feelings.
Then the trailer fades up to Byler riding bikes in TANDEM with each other, on CLEAR blue day under the BRIGHT sun, on an OPEN road, with a CLEAR horizon. This signifies hope, a future, and new beginnings. The contrast is stark. It is apparent through lighting, blocking, mise-en-scéne, acting, costuming, and parallels that the show is leaning towards a Byler endgame. I rest my case.
I've rewatched the Kpop demon hunters trailer over 15+ times. Here's what I found(I'm kind of obsessed with the movie)
1.These girls are RICHHHHHH
In this clip, we see their private plane, but their group name HuntrX is on the outside of the plane. Owning a private Jet is expensive enough to have your group name on it??? ICONIC
2. Their penthouse also has their group name on it. But also look at the size of the penthouse it's hugeeeee even based on the window stills.
3.The Girls each have their own ramen flavor. This also shows a brand collaboration that happened off screen that girls definitely benefit from.
In total, based on the trailer alone, these girls are making at least 1.6 billion WON yearly. In US currency, that's like around 1.2 million to 1.4 million.
So since my obsession with movie is like wayyyy far from over I'm gonna be posting more details or hints I found based on the trailer.
Alright, Mario movie analysis! I don’t think there was a much to really yap about in the to Tostarena scene.
Alright, let's hope that this doesn't get unnecessarily marked as mature like the last one did!
Our little badasses :D
I'm pretty sure, that scene will be one of the first ones in the movie before Junior appears. Just from Mario’s dialog
More badassery
I think the fire flower does burn off whatever it thinks is unnecessary though
Y'know, I think spamming fire balls is one of the many things that makes Luigi relatable.
Ok, so this confirms that Yoshi's have glowing eyes and can probably see in the dark
They be so stupid I love them
This gives HEAVY How To Train Your Dragon Vibes.
I really should've got a better screenshot, but this is just peak comedy to me lmao 😭
FROG COMFRIMED!!!
YESSSS OUR TRANS QUEEN BIRDO IS HERE TOO!!! 💅
Hold on I need to real quickly talk about how I am so fucking happy that Yoshi's voice isn't annoying and he barely talks other than a few noises and close to words in this so far. I was actually cheering cause I was gonna be really pissed if we had another Mario World TV show situation on our hands, cause I HATED Yoshi's voice in that, on God it was so annoying!
Aww, poor Toad seems left out.
Bro's an attention whore 😭
I love that stupid little face. It's giving, "BUT MWOOOOOMMM!"
I kinda thought this was just gonna be a normal scene until...
I SAW THE FUCKING BABIES!!! (Legit, my first thought was Bowser or Bowser Jr turned them into babies until I was like, "oh yeah, flashback scene... flashback scene would make a lot more since actually" 😞) ALSO I LOVE THOSE STUPID LITTLE EXPRESSIONS OMG BRO!!!
Alright that's all from me ig. (I didn't see Junior, sad day, but oh well) hope you enjoyed this
Leverage Redemption Season 3 Trailer Breakdown/Analysis
I'm going insane over this trailer (if you haven't seen it yet) and wanted to break down all the little things we see (and also what we don't see)
It seems like the opening heist is just Parker, Hardison, Eliot, and Sophie in Paris. It's unclear if Breanna and Harry will join them there or if the team will meet up back in New Orleans.
I also noticed that the trailer heavily features Parker, Hardison, and Eliot. They get a lot more lines than any of the other characters (including Sophie!)
Based on the number of outfit changes we saw, I don't think Hardison is going to be in all of the episodes. I think he'll be in more than the previous two season, but I don't think he'll be in all 10.
Yes, I did count the number of outfits we saw per character. Give or take one in some cases where it's unclear if an outfit was a repeat, the totals are:
Sophie, Parker, and Eliot with 11. Harry with 9. Breanna with 6. Hardison with 4.
We have confirmation of scenes taking place in Paris and Mumbai.
The globe map of bad guys include locations of: Paris, France; Montreal, Canada; Karachi, Pakistan; and what looks like the Louisiana area. (If I am missing any other locations please let me know!)
Guest stars that have been confirmed include: Jack Coleman, Drew Powell (Hurley!!), Alex Boniello, Cedric Yarbrough, Mary Hollis Inboden, Sam Witwer, and Rachael Harris.
We also see Alexandra Park as Astrid in the trailer, and Noah Wyle has confirmed that his daughter Auden will return as Harry's daughter Becky.
This season will have 10 episodes, the first three dropping on April 17th and the rest airing weekly after that.
Hi everyone!!! Okay, as we all know, the trailer came out on Wednesday and I have done my DARNDEST to try to avoid other people's theories so that I can make my own here without being TOO influenced.
Because I have limited time in the evenings and I want to go to bed at a reasonable hour since I have to work, I think tonight (Wednesday Apr 15), I'm just going to "snapshot" my thoughts I had while watching it with particular scenes that caught my attention immediately, and perhaps later on when I have more time on the weekend, will sit down some more with expansion on a couple scenes that REALLY got me.
I think I'll do this in point form with my thoughts and screenshots! <3 Thank you for your interest!! <3 Will keep everything below a cut for anyone who is trying to avoid the trailer :)
The Opening (0:00 to 0:19)
OKAY I can't be the only one who thinks it's DIABOLICAL for them to start this trailer with The Ineffable Divorce UGGGGHHH. BUT!! What gives me hope with this trailer starting here is that this feels like it is saying that they are going to expand further on their relationship this entire finale. It's beautifully interspersed with a mini-montage of them "happy together" from S1 and S2 with Crowley narrating over it. Them focusing on this first feels really important, AND curious because they DIDN'T show the break-up kiss for this trailer (though they did for the Muriel Recap Trailer, interestingly)? Almost like there will be something even better than the kiss that was accidentally leaked that we ALL THOUGHT pre-S2 was... NOT THAT. And I unlike OTHER shows (*sideeyes Sherlock S4), I feel confident that they're ACTUALLY going to go the full distance in confirming their mutual love for each other ONLY because it was ALREADY canonized that they both have very strong feelings for each other, but Aziraphale has Many Hangups™, unfortunately.
I've written a lot more about their relationship here if you are interested <3.
Archangel Aziraphale (and Cutie Patootie Jesus) (0:23 to 0:39)
OKAY I don't have much to say about this other than I am upset Azzie is the Archangel and he can't even wear Tartan?!?!?! NOOOOOOO!!! I do like though that he still has his pocket watch. That makes me so happy.
Jesus is SOOOOO cute though. I look forward to seeing them on screen. I especially wonder if it was AZIRAPHALE who dressed him. Because that outfit looks a LOT like something Azzie would put Gabe in when he was taking care of him (namely the cardigan and linen pants)
The Metatron and The Voice(?) (0:40 to 0:45)
Okay, so at first I thought this might be near the end where Azzie and Crowley confront the Metatron, but then I saw on this community post by @ineffablegoodomens that posits that this might ACTUALLY be Crowley's "Fall" Scene, and the more I watch it, UH YEAH, I think they are right. Those robes on the Metatron? Those are similar to the ones Azzie and Crowley wore Before the Beginning, or at least it's got the same sort of style as them. AND Metatron, when we saw him in S2 was bearded (he wasn't in S1) which could signify passage of time between "before" and "after" Armageddon't. This is a scene in the past.
I think we will get an answer to WHO CROWLEY WAS / IS, which I think is a high probability given that they allude to his importance in S1 ("I made those stars"), and then allude in S2 of his previous status being above Aziraphale and the other archangels quite a bit. I think it will show us Crowley being made a spectacle of, possibly, for questioning to show other angels never to question. And I think, in turn, Aziraphale WILL BE THERE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENED, AND it will then explain Aziraphale's hesitance to "disobey heaven". It won't be more than probably 5 minutes of screentime, but I think it will help build on Azzie's character.
And I will state here in this section: I think Metatron is the true Big Bad of the entire series, to be honest.
As for the voice right at the start of this scene that says "Something's Wrong", I initially thought it was God, but it doesn't sound like Frances (maybe Michael?). But it's interesting.
And here is where I will say that I genuinely believe that God hasn't really ever been "in charge". The Metatron seems so YIKES always.
Crowley Back in Hell (0:50 to 0:55)
I feel like this actually ties into the promo photo we got late last month:
He's looks like he's restrained in that clip, not sitting comfortably.
I haven't thought why anyone would drag him back down, but MAYBE, and I posited this a while ago on one of the Community posts, that perhaps Hell finds out WHO Crowley was (HENCE the importance of SHOWING the Metatron scene in the past) and in turn think his powers will enable him to find Jesus? I haven't worked up a solid theory yet but I feel like these are both tied together AND that it's to do with Crowley's own power.
Toby Jones (0:56 to 0:58)
OKAY nothing really to say other than, if THIS MAN IS CAST, HE IS A VILLAIN. I don't think I've ever seen him play ANYONE other than "shady or creepy character". I think this is a mafia boss that is implied in some of the descriptions I've seen around. Maybe looking for Crowley? It's not Aziraphale since he's in this scene, though possibly looking for Jesus (hah).
Crowley on The Streets of Soho (0:59 to 1:04)
Why is he though???? He was living in his car before! Or maybe he is keeping a watchful eye on the Bookshop here? Hmm. I can't think of any reason he's choosing to be homeless when he has his Bentley.
EDIT: I saw a theory posited by @htmllost that Crowley might actually still be living in the Bentley but it's either being REALLY annoying (like changing colours or reminding Crowley about Aziraphale) or the demons keep bothering him there. This makes sense to me, and I am adding it here for posterity as what might be going on here.
"I've Come to Help You" and Apologies (1:06 to 1:09)
Something is niggling at me. "I've come to help YOU" Aziraphale says to Crowley. Why does Crowley need help? It contradicts what Muriel said just seconds before to presumedly Aziraphale: "Maybe you can find your friend to help you". Isn't Aziraphale the one needing help to find Jesus? I'm starting to think that this season is actually more CROWLEY'S story than Aziraphale's (which S2 was), given the possible past reveal for Crowley. The more I sit on it, I think Crowley is a target for both sides as possibly a catalyst for the Second Coming(?) once they find out who he was/is, Aziraphale finds out that Crowley is a key, and that's what sends him back down.
I've always said post-S2 that they're going to be used against each other, but they KNOW that they're more powerful together.
And Aziraphale mentioning Apologies... are we getting A DANCE?!?!? Oh gosh WHAT IF their apology dance is LITERALLY Aziraphale grabbing Crowley and dancing with him. As a promise to "talk more about the Last Time We Saw Each Other" once all of This is over?? And THAT'S why Crowley agrees to help Aziraphale.
Listen, a girl can dream LOL.
The Book of Life Mention (1:18 to 1:23)
And here it is! I've been pondering about what the Book of Life ACTUALLY might be, and I think, based on some theories I've been reading where Crowley and Azzie will become human at the end of S3, that the Book ACTUALLY doesn't erase People from Existence, but Angels from Being Angels. It was threatened upon ONLY ANGELS in S2. Never people. I think this might either be how "They Fall" OR they get removed and "condemned" to a mortal life.
However the other angels don't know where it is, which has me thinking only the Metatron knows where it is.
Crowley (and Azzie) in Heaven (1:24 to 1:29)
First off, WHAT. Secondly WHAT?!?!?!. Jesus Christmas Crackers, I am LOVING Crowley's new Heaven look. I THINK that this is actually a plan between the two so Crowley can come back up to Heaven: in S2, he needed to be "arrested" to come up to Heaven, so in this season, surely their security is a bit tighter after Crowley's first breach. The two of them have Crowley pretend to have accepted Aziraphale's offer in the Final Fifteen rather than being forcibly dragged there, and it's Aziraphale who dresses Crowley:
"Dear, you need to LOOK like my second in command, not... whatever that is."
"Oh. ANGEL. I had no idea."
(and yes I think we're FINALLY GETTING A PET NAME FROM AZZIE)
So THIS is what a "second in command" look is to Aziraphale (I REALLY don't believe this is Crowley's doing. I think by this point in the movie, they are in sync). And I say "pretend" BECAUSE Crowley has his glasses on to hide his eyes.
This post mentioned that Crowley's hair looks like horns, and OMG I LOVE this, to show that he really actually ISN'T an angel. I don't think he would ever agree to be an angel ever again, BUT I think he WOULD LOVE to give Heaven the BIG MIDDLE FINGER and play along with Azzie on this one. I think these two idiots would find it fucking hilarious to rub it in Heaven's face and "hide in plain sight" that Crowley once again as a demon made it back to Heaven. We know Azzie is a petty bitch, I think this is ALL HIM. I mean... Crowley's Jacket is close to the same beige as Azzie's original overcoat.
Hmmm. Anyway, LOVE this Crowley look, guh.
"Bigger than You and Me" & "I Was Trying to Do the Right Thing" AND THAT SCENE (1:34 to 1:44)
Okay I think these two scenes are actually part of the Apology Scene at 1:06. THIS HERE IS WHY I THINK we get mutual confirmation REALLY EARLY in the movie, with a promise to talk later, because guess what? THIS NOW INFAMOUS SCREENSHOT is linked to this scene in the trailer at 1:44:
I believe this scene is them "talking later"; that's NOT the Bookshop in the background. In fact, I daresay it might be... a cottage in Sussex or in Tadfield (one of the promo photos as well as the cast list also released confirmed that they go back to Tadfield). I am of the majority that believes this is a happy scene. Azzie's cheeks, when he smiles (as has been pointed out here), "puff out" like that in the front, and I think he's grinning wide in this one.
EDIT: I wrote a meta last night about the apology scene and the linking scene here, please check that out for my expanded thoughts on it!!
And I'll take this opportunity to say that I think David is an incredible facial actor. From 1:44 to 1:45, blink-and-you'll-miss-it, you can SEE Crowley choke trying to hold back a sob, like he's incredulous that this (Aziraphale's reciprocal love) is actually happening because it's been SIX THOUSAND YEARS.
(CREDIT: from this post here)
This episode is going to bloody end me, but I haven't been more certain of one of my fave ships FINALLY coming together in the end. This single one-second frame has alleviated all my doubts about a canon ending for them. Whether as humans, or as celestials, who knows. But I am feeling good about this now.
The Flying Bentley (1:47 to 1:49)
LOL I saw someone mention that this might be a callback to S1 where Azzie says something along the lines of "How are you going to get there, fly?" referring to I THINK Alpha Centauri. Is this the End Scene where they're literally flying away together? HAHAHHAH.
No really, I think that this might either be the very last scenes where they're going on a honeymoon or vacation to Alpha Centauri (since Crowley talks so much about it and Azzie must see it now), OR this is tied into the scene at 1:30 to 1:33 where Azzie says "How fast did you say this goes?" and this is them racing possibly to stop the Second Coming or Something Big and Scary in Heaven. Azzie says that line very urgently, so I don't think it's a jokey line. THE SCENE is jokey, but the line is not.
(Timestamp 1:34)
Final Thoughts
Okay so nothing else from the trailer immediately called out to me, other that Crowley's little grumble / hiss at the end at 1:51. I think this also is tied into the Dance scene above, now that I'm thinking about it, where he's like "OMG I LOVE THIS MAN WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME" and he's just being a big silly.
Some more final thoughts:
I love Crowley's hair and scruff in this movie OMG. The little curl is doing it for me.
I am POSITIVE it's going to be a happy ending. I will be disappointed if it's not, but I've been through so many "my ships are never confirmed canon" at this point that I just roll with it. BUT what has me more hopeful is that it's ALREADY CANONIZED that there is love there, and CLEARLY Azzie loves Crowley too (Azzie's scene just before Metatron shows up).
I think Metatron is the one who actually is running things and the Second Coming is HIS doing. God is mysteriously absent in all of S2 except the Job scene. Makes you wonder how long he's been "the mouth of God" without God? I guess? I dunno where I'm going with this. I just don't like Metatron (I like him as a character, I mean as a "good guy" he seems shady)
I think Crowley and Azzie are the ACTUAL Ineffable Great Plan. I don't know how yet, or why, but I have had this feeling for a little while now. Maybe to bring all creatures together? I dunno. It's stupid, sorry.
I mentioned it above, but I think that this movie is about mostly about Crowley, since S1 focussed more on Aziraphale's character.
Crowley is going to be the first one to absolutely lose it (as in happy crying). Calling it now.
Anyway, thank you kindly for reading!! I'm ridiculously tired now, been doing this for four hours. Perhaps I'll expand upon some more things when I'm not tired and have more time. Some additional points came to light re: the apology and I might flesh out that meta a bit more.
I'm just super pumped for S3 now, gang! <3 Love y'all <3
Chloe is not in Paris because she wants, she's here to film something by order of Audrey or whoever is in control of the production.
Audrey and Noé cleary are in the control of her life.
Students are being barred from certain areas to prevent them from entering the filming location.
I will not be surprised if the students (by that I mean Marinette class) thinks that Chloe is doing this on purpose or something of the kind.
Which if it's the case, it's stupid. They are filming of course they are gonna block you from getting in.
Zoe, Sabrina and Marinette are going to talk to Chloe. Marinette notice Audrey and Noé presences and gets suspicious or at least doesn't like to see them there. (I did not watch Noé episode yet so I don't know if she already knows who he is. Gonna have to watch that now for this ep.)
First of all, Marinette you have way worse things to worry about than Chloe coming to Paris!
These seems to be the same scene, but I have no idea why Chloe would be filming them. Considering that they probably are talking with her here, she would have to left the phone there before or during the conversation. And if it's the second case then how did they not notice it?
It also could be someone else using her phone.
Sabrina appears to be reading the letter that Cerise sent her. Saw some people saying that Cerise could be impersonating Chloe, and what "Chloe" wrote led Sabrina to believe that Chloe has changed.
The object on her hand reminds me of the box she puts the butterfly in the trailer. But I don't think they are the same thing.
I believe this box belongs to Chloe. Now this could be Cerise letting the akuma there so when Chloe touches the box she gets akumatized, OR this is after the akumatization where Cerise is letting a invite to Chloe joining her again. But that sounds too good to be true, so I will not even get to much in that.
Now, to the prediction:
Zoe and Marinette confront Chloe, Sabrina brings the letter in, Chloe gets confused because she didn't write that. Audrey gets irritated and the situation gets worse, especially to Chloe. Cerise takes advantage of Chloe's confusion and fear and akumatizes her.
And that's it! I have more ideas but they are too good to actually be real or create hope.
WELPPP the time for me to ramble has come loll. HEHE >:3
anyways one of my fav parts of the new trailer is this part in the interview... like the way he says it... the anguish, the frustration, the desperation in his voice...
and like I've seen some hate circling about this scene with people saying that Superman getting all emotional Is just him being "angry and "acting juvenile". Some are even going as far as calling it a "temper tantrum" and while maybe on the first watch it might seem like an accurate way to describe this scene...
but rewatching it, i've come to realize that it's actually not a temper tantrum or him being "overly emotional or juvenile"
This is actually such a really interestingly complex, yet beautifully appropriate reaction for Supes.
Because, take it from Clark's POV. He's trying to help. In his mind he saved thousands. And the questions that are asked paint him as a villain. As the "bad guy". All because he wanted to help.
Him getting emotional and frustrated is completely valid imo.
I just love how David portrayed Clark here... because like... this is Superman.
In his mind, its not about what others think or which country it happens in, in his mind its "if I have these powers I'm using it to save people regardless of politics, race, differences, etc" and like... I love it?!?
The way David so beautifully shows the almost-offended, indignant, desperation of Clark in that moment is amazing.
The frustration in his voice when he says "I wasn't representing anybody except for ME" ADTFDSBSD YESS EXACTLYYY
Because Superman isn't JUST for America.... He's for the world.
THATS who superman is.
ANd you can see how much it frustrates him that him saving peoples lives makes him the bad guy just because it doesn't fit the government's agenda. AJHGBMSSFBNF LIKE HELLO!??!? THIS IS SO AMAZING!!
AND LIKE... THAT PART "PEOPLE WERE GOING TO DIE" BROO HE SOUNDS SOOO GOOOD?!?!
LIKE YOU CAN HEAR THE ANGUISH AND, LIKE, HOW IT SOUNDS LIKE CLARK'S ALMOST ABOUT TO CRASH OUT BC LIKE HE CANT IMAGINE WHY PPL ARE HATING HIM FOR DOING NOTHING BUT GOOD AKJFYTSHFDSNBFS
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS PART REALLY WAS AMAZING TO ME I JUST LOVED IT SMM BC IT REALLY SHOWS SUPERMAN'S HEART HERE.
He isn't just the Man of Tomorrow--the Beacon of Hope--only for the United States... He's that for everyone.
and he WANTS to be that for everyone.
but he can't without being hated upon.
but that's why I find Gunn's version is so interesting. Because it asks the question, "can Superman work irl with all the politics and conflicts"
AHHHHHH THIS MOVIE IS GONNA MAKE ME CRY I SWEAR STGFNHGS <33
