First attempt at a short comic! Was going to make it longer, but cut the second scene because motivation was running low. :P This is a comic of a story @faygoeggo wrote. I felt really inspired and wanted to try it because I’ve never even really drawn angst before. Of course, thanks to both @faygoeggo for writing such an amazing story (sorry I never finished it) and @lunnar-chan for empireverse!

Different iterations of Dream as a human! I imagine at first Dream is kind of like a naive kid, with lots of spirit, and then second he's gotten way older and wiser, but still has a strong spirit and then I know Empireverse isn't canon but I imagine Dream would just be tired of fighting, kind of worn out out but has to continue for the sake of his empire. So on the Crazy Town Discord server, I brought up a Fantasy AU. And then @crazy--tale brought EmpireVerse.

Cross walks into Dream's room. This was normal since they were in a relationship. But something... was off.
"Cross?" Dream asked. "What's wrong?" No answer. "Is it Starcross? It's not your fault." Dream hugged Cross. Cross hugged back.
He spoke. But it wasn't his voice. "Long live the king," Cross said, as he stabbed Dream in the back, literally backstabbing him. As Dream looked at Cross' face in despair, as darkness was swallowing him up, he could see the mark of The Crazy One.
"It's not your fault."
Cross cried, big purple tears. The end of the Dream Empire has come.
