Lesson 2 - Transform Your Thinking and the World Will Transform!
The power of thought governs both the scientific and the magical world and in this post I will explain its functioning in each of these branches.
Our mind is an unstoppable and tireless machine, our head gets tired, our body too, but the thoughts do not stop because there is no need for rest, the people who do. And as we are surrounded by this energy all the time, our thinking attracts what we live and now we are in the reality that we thought and vibrated many years ago and if we are still in the same situation, it just means that we are in the same vibration. A person with power and vision she knows about her reality and her difficulties, but she thinks about how she will be in the future, it is not even as she wishes, but as if she already has reality. You want to have a strong and striking personality, you will think you already have it. A vacation home, you will think that it is already on its way, nothing more will be a dream and a distant wish but something that we can reach.
As in the Tarot, the air suit is still very misunderstood, our indoor air suit (mind) is still very difficult to work with and the above statement is true, but it has its complications.
Why? Because to get there we need to heal our mind, we will be able to accomplish everything we desire, but what our conscience desires is the same as the unconscious? You can really want to be rich, tell yourself that you are going to be a millionaire, but if your subconscious thinks you are a failure this statement will do you no good, because what you really vibrate is failure
As I do not give a “point without a knot”, I arrive at a possible solution for everyone to heal the unconscious mind with technique, which is Ho’oponopono.
This Hawaiian technique has many translations: “Getting to perfection”, “Correcting mistakes”, “Correcting steps”, but what matters now is its theoretical basis which is very powerful. According to this technique, we are divided into four elements: the subconscious, the conscious, the supraconscious and the divine intelligence - which can be god, deities, universe or whatever your faith says.
The cycle from this is :do the Ho'oponopono routine consciously to enter the unconscious. Our most primitive part only recognizes things with routines and rules. Just like the lockdown, before you go out to do your chores and you had already programmed the order to go to the bathroom, brush your teeth, change, this order rarely changed, but with you changing the big “tcham” of the routine that was the need leaving the house, you probably stopped everything else too.
The conscious has the power to change everything else, and it is with it that you will reach the subconscious, then the supraconscious until you reach divine intelligence, which then will understand your message and return what you emanate. We do this always, but routinely, and it separates us from success and failure.
Scientifically, we have several factors that prove this technique, one is the report that involves Dr. Len, a doctor who worked at a Psychiatric Hospital called Hawaii State Hospital, a place that was known to be physically and mentally violent, from which the employees they didn't work long there and the patients were constantly getting hurt. Both groups have been progressively improving and after 4 years of Dr. Len's arrival, the hospital's operation can be stopped. But how? Len stayed in his office applying Ho'oponopono to each patient's file and the routine and consistency of this practice paid off.
In addition to the report, we have neuroscience that tells us that we cannot discern what is the reality of the imagination (yes, there are studies that say that we know how to separate, but they are older than the studies of our statement), in addition to having law of attraction, introduced by Helena Blavatsky with the premise: “The Law of Attraction is all about aligning your mindset with the things you want to attract.”.
Now for magical awareness, we have magicians and esoterics who also use this statement, hermeticism has the Law of Mentalism, where "The Whole is Mind; the Universe is Mental.", In addition to all the other laws that together have the premise of Ho'oponopono, we have Aleister Crowley (we will separate the author's work here) who says: “the science and art of causing change to occur in conformance with will.” And more recently Paige Vanderbeck: "Magic is the art of creating change in ourselves and in our lives through acts of intention and a spiritual connection with all things natural and supernatural." (credits to this part HERE)
After all this survey, we can come to the conclusion that what you say has power, and what you think has even more power. If you know any other technique, don't be afraid to do it, but be afraid of not being the person you want to be.
“You’re going to be sad, You’re going to want to scream and punch things. Do it. Let out every ounce of anger you have. Sit on the floor and cry until you feel numb. Listen to songs that make your heart sink to your feet. Write angry letters to all the people who have broken you, left you, ignored you or hurt you. Throw your hairbrush at the wall. Do it twelve times. Do it until you feel you can breathe again.
You’re going to be sad. You’re going to want to hurt yourself. Don’t you dare do it. Sit on the floor and watch cartoons like you did when you were little. Listen to songs that make you want to dance around your bedroom in your underwear at 3A.M. Make paper airplanes out of those angry letters and watch them soar into the fireplace. Brush all the knots out of your hair and say “I am worth it” into the mirror. Say it twelve times. Say it until you feel like you can breathe again. You’re going to be sad. You’re going go get through it.

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Huda Z! Huda is a Desi Muslim artist and writer for Affinity Magazine. Her art has a unique style, and while sometimes light hearted, sends thought provoking messages through each image that challenge the expectations of Muslim women and South Asian women alike. Huda’s art can be found at http://instagram.com/aitchzee and her articles at http://affinitymagazine.us/author/aitchzee/
What inspires your art?
I’m highly inspired by the modern day, visibly Muslim women. Most of my inspiration comes from there. That, and my identity as a Muslim and South Asian, and the positive and negative aspects of our community and culture.
Which piece is your favorite?
I've got many favourites, but let's see. I love my larki gang illustrations and your average dulhan drawings the most.
What are you currently working on?
The regular. I'm always looking for inspirational stories and women I could present in the language of illustration. I'm also hoping to gather new ideas and do something different and out of the ordinary. Let's see what I come across.
Who are your artistic inspirations?
Oh, where do I even start? There's Naseema, the curator of moosleemargh. There's Huda of @yesimhotinthis, there's Asma of @mvzlamic. Shehzil Malik, Mahoor Jamal and Fatemah Baig are also some of my favorites. There are many others as well. The list just goes on and on.
Were you into art growing up? What was it that introduced you to the world of art?
I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I've never been exceptionally great at it, neither do I consider myself so at this point. But I have been drawing on different mediums for very long. From drawing on my mum's bedroom wall with her lipsticks to sketch books filled with confusingly, haphazardly drawn lines to adobe illustrator's digital canvas, I've done it all.
Have you ever faced any struggles or rejection with both holding a Desi Muslim identity and being an artist/writer?
I've faced quite a few problems regarding gender roles in the Desi community and as an artist, but nothing I couldn't handle. The trick is to talk about whatever is bothering you. Quiet grieving wouldn't do any good in any situation. I have been told off for many, many things and views I've held, but patiently sticking to what I was sure was right and constantly advocating in small and big situations has helped significantly.
Do you have a career in art and writing/plan on pursuing one, or are they hobbies for you?
I want to pursue writing as a career, if God wills. But as for art, I'm still not sure. I have other interests as well and I love stem subjects too. I'm probably not going to continue as a professional artist, but I'll keep making art because over time; it's proved to be very therapeutic for me.
“girls are so high maintenance, they take forever in the bathroom” they say as she painstakingly shaves off every trace of hair from her whole body except her head because if she doesn’t society will tell her she’s gross and undesirable
