This week's #ThrowbackThursday is a two parter focused on the legendary Empress Alexandra. . 👑Formally known as Her Imperial Majesty Empress Alexandra of Quincy, the famed beauty is the grandmother of our King Valdemar and is the reason the Catsford Dynasty continues this day. Her story is quite fascinating and rather long so we will do our best to summarize. . 👑She was born in Quincy into the Noble house of Von CatsCliff. Her father held the title of Lord as one of the lessor children of an Earl. It was Alexandra's grandfather who saw an opportunity to propel the child's prospects beyond becoming just another debutante. He knew that the Grand Duke Amibus was searching for a new and young batch of aristocrats to form Crown Prince Marin's Royal Court. Earl Von CatsCliff was poised to be elected the next ruler of Quincy so having his granddaughter in the confidence of the neighboring Kingdom was a keen political asset. But Alexandra's mother had higher aspirations. . 👑She wanted her daughter to be chosen as the future King of Colquaet's wife. After the Grand Duke interviewed the stunning young beauty he was convinced that her potential lie as an advisor to the future monarch. She was made a Duchess of the Royal Court and known as Duchess Von CatsCliff. She quickly gained the confidence of her new Crown Prince and showed proficiency in her unofficial role as spin doctor. . 👑Alexandra was tasked with creating the mythos that would accompany the coronation of the new King. After all the Catsford hold on the ancient monarchy was relatively young and many of the old traditions and customs had been deemed too old fashioned to be adopted by the new reigning family in a modern society.
