I feel like I can't do anything

Studying? No motivation nor concentration.

Reading? No concentration.

Drawing? No inspiration.

Writting? No inspiration.

Playing ukelele? (I recently started to learn how to play it) I don't want to annoy my neighbours.

Aaand we can't forget the intrusive thoughts. No matter what I'm doing I just think that I should be studying (even when I'm studying they appear because I'm studying one thing but have so much more to do).

Swine Tax - Empty Life

Empty Life is the energetic and emotive third release by Swine Tax (Vince Lisle, Tom Kelly, Charlie Radford). Taking influence from artists such as Car Seat Headrest, the National and 90s American indie-rock, the song contrasts up-beat melodies and lively indie guitar-work with languorous, subtly plaintive vocals which express feelings of regret and inner desolation - whereby the fulfillment of fleeting desires no longer brings any real fulfilment. It is important to note (especially when interpreting Swine Tax's lyrics) that, although the song is widely relatable in its themes, Empty Life is borne out of vocalist Lisle's own lived experience of suffering a life-changing chronic pain condition and therefore expresses the frustrations this engenders

The singer pauses and thinks about this for a time, even setting the question aside to come back to it. When she settles in to answer it, her foot is tapping slowly, a tempo that matches a heartbeat. “I feel these shift day to day with how everything is changing so fast right now, but being on leave has given me almost too much time to think.”

“I am looking for a place for my heart,” shaking her head to ward off what might be thought of first. “That is not saying that I am looking to fall in love with someone, I mean more of life around me. Moving through this house search set a whole barrel full of thoughts in motion.”

A small huff escapes her and her shoulders slump, “I really haven’t mourned the loss of ‘home’ yet and when people began talking about going home it really hit me hard. I don’t know what I expected in trying to find a new place to live as I have never have had to before, being shown all these places that feel so empty made me remember how much life was in where we lived in Dalaran.” A small laugh and a shake of her head, “Now I need to learn how to bring more life to my life. Not sure what type of journey that means, but now I know it is something I want to do.”
