Taking an EMT class through Christmas break is a fucking dumb choice. It’s literally Christmas Day at 2am, I wrapped my brothers gifts and now I’m taking notes on disease transmission

I’m sorry @taylorswift I haven’t bought your deluxe albums yet.... but I did complete and pass my EMT course today!!!

I think this is the first time in my life I am truly proud of myself!!

I was DYING of anxiety. I took my EMT midterm yesterday and I was terrified that I failed. But my instructor just posted the grades and I got an 85%!!

And on the patient assessment, I got a 40 out of 42!! I missed checking a total of five body systems during my secondary assessment. Not because I forgot, just because we haven't actually learned HOW to check all of the systems so I ran out of skills I know.

Everyone keeps telling me I need to be more confident.

I had my first EMT lecture and I almost fell asleep in it. I have a skills lab for it tomorrow where I'm gonna learn CPR and become certified. The class has made a groupchat for the course and within 6 messages being sent in it, I can already tell it's gonna be chaos. Mind you, we're all 16-17 year olds who will be science majors once we get to college and have no patience for bullshit

Admitting my deepest darkest fears to my profs in email but not telling my friends is crazy work. Like no my friends cannot know that I’m petrified of driving and the idea of looking at my car keys makes me want to vomit after getting into multiple car accidents in one week. My whole personality is being the car friend. I always offer to drive people to the airport and city. I drive 8-10 hours every week across the state for my EMT class with my friend, so no one can know… except my calc prof. He’s chill so I’m not going to lie about why I need an extension.
