Ethnic Minority Women in Wales Achievement Awards - September 2021
What a night, what a celebration! Organised by the remarkable Prof Meena Upadaya OBE, founder of EMWWAA, this was a wonderful community celebration that was a true honour to photograph.
The scale of women's contributions to all areas of life was deservedly given the spotlight, with winners sharing their messages of hope, determination and solidarity. Unusually, all shortlisted were given an award in recognition of the extraordinary challenges of the pandemic.
The value of community support, networks and creating opportunities to shine, couldn't have been more apparent.
