The Crack Pack - 2021 As I progress on this journey of my life.... I never would have thought I would leave an incredibly stable and comfortable job in State Government to be a professional pet photographer..... but alas here I am. It took a lot of confidence building to get here... but I will never look back now. Photographing pets and pets with their people...... sigh, I can't even begin to describe how amazing my job is. I never knew it would take me down a road of rescue and pet welfare and pet photo fundraisers.... and then meeting people that I now know as friends. So many wonderful people, so many amazing souls... Here is one of them. With her crew. While this is only one person, she represents a whole team of people I love so much. An exceptional crowd of humans that day after day make HUGE sacrifices to save the lives of innocent animals. She represents everything good in this community and the fierceness within this bunch to take down those that harm animals. Whether it is cruelty, dogfighters or even our own municipal shelters neglect and abuse.... 💫My passion is protecting animals and the planet, so I focus on vegan and sustainable fashion—but I also look at so many fair fashion brands, because I’m interested, only to find their accessories (and often their clothes) are made from animals.:/ I’m always surprised because I expect brands that are considered ethical and conscious to be cruelty-free. 🌱🌱 . . . . I already started a list this month of sustainable brands to contact. And I'll add fair ones to the list.💫I’ll ask them why they are not animal-friendly (or to put it in the fair context, why they are not fair to animals.) Vegans and nonhuman animals are so often excluded from the fair and ethical fashion conversation, which is odd. What *is* extreme is that we regard some #animals as members of our family while, at the same time, we stick forks into the corpses of other animals. What *is* extreme is thinking that it is morally acceptable to inflict suffering and death on other sentient creatures simply because we enjoy the taste of animal products or because we like the look of clothes made from animals. What *is* extreme is that we say that we recognize that “unnecessary” suffering and death cannot be morally justified and then we proceed to engage in exploitation on a daily basis that is completely unnecessary.
