Prime rib is essentially roast beef. But if you get the end cut, it'll have a crusted texture since more surface area was in contact with the heat source. I usually don't get these, since they can sometimes be overcooked or have some gnarly bits on them, but they can contain a ton of dry-aged earthiness if they come off of an aged roast. After having the prime rib a few times recently at @GallaghersNYC, I decided to mix it up and order the end cut. I have to admit: despite my reluctance, this one was great. Nice aged flavor, good textural contrast between meat and crust, not too gnarly, and the cook temp was still on the money (swipe to see it). La Universidad Tecnológica de Querétaro (UTEQ) será sede de la eliminatoria regional deportiva de Universidades Tecnológicas, en la que competirán alrededor de 900 estudiantes en las disciplinas de basquetbol, voleibol, futbol asociación, futbol siete y béisbol, en las ramas varonil y femenil, para conseguir su pase a la etapa nacional. Serán los días 2, 9 y 17 de febrero cuando se enfrenten los representativos de 10 instituciones, pertenecientes a la región 6 del Comité Técnico Nacional Deportivo del Subsistema de Universidades Tecnológicas.
Se trata de las Universidades Tecnológicas de: Morelia, León, Salamanca, Suroeste de Guanajuato, Laja Bajío, San Miguel de Allende, Norte de Guanajuato, Querétaro, San Juan del Río y la Aeronáutica en Querétaro (UNAQ). Los enfrentamientos tendrán lugar en instalaciones de la UTEQ y en las unidades deportivas de Reforma Lomas, Cerrito Colorado y San Pablo, con horarios que van de las 9:00 a las 18:00 hrs.
La Universidad Tecnológica de Querétaro participará en este regional con 120 alumnos que conforman a 7 equipos de basquetbol, voleibol, futbol asociación (en ambas ramas) y futbol siete (únicamente varonil). El domingo 17 de febrero serán las finales; los equipos campeones de este regional son selectivos para el XXIII Encuentro Nacional Deportivo y Cultural de Universidades Tecnológicas (ENDCUT), que se llevará a cabo del 11 al 14 de abril en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
120 instituciones del Subsistema de Universidades Tecnológicas (divididas en regiones) participan en este proceso deportivo nacional y sólo los mejores 11 equipos de cada disciplina del país, más la sede, consiguen llegar al ENDCUT en busca de ser los mejores del medallero general.
