Blood running cold, the stiffened Horde Queen stopped in her tracks, feeling the firm tug of Spinel’s hands squeezing around her arm tightly. Her pupils narrowed into slits, she yanked her arm free of the Gem’s grasp, stepping back quickly until her back hit the metal corridor wall. Thoughts of Adora filled her head, and it drove her mind mad. Steadying herself, she ran her claws through her frayed hair, inhaling deeply. She couldn’t mess this up. It had been a few months since Catra had stumbled upon Spinel in the Whispering Woods. Lost at first, Catra found that she was the key to unlocking the power within this ancient abandoned technology formerly used by her race. This ‘ Gem Technology ’ had become essential to Catra’s ultimate plan. Her strategy was flawless ——— but without Spinel it would not work, and Catra couldn’t risk compromising total control of Etheria for Spinel’s naïve feelings.

Feigning a feeble melancholy, she employed her deceitful tactics in order to sway Spinel. If she had used it against Scorpia and Entrapta—— she would definitely do it again.
