ardashir moved his head away, noire had flinched just too quickly. It had not been his intention to make her feel uncomfortable. ardashir only takes a step back from the endministrator, in hopes she would be willing to talk further, careful not to ruin the white flowers by his feet. hands going behind his back, “ endmin, there is no threat here. that i promise you. ” likely threat to her was … well him. unknown to her, that he was painfully as that may be for them to hear, Ardashir would not force such memories to come back or feelings to come. only wanting to talk, he would hope noire could humor him for just a bit longer. moment more, even a glance. “I hope … you can stay a moment longer.” his hands go back to side, one raising up, an opened invitation. there was no need for her to grab it, or even stay here. but there was hope. Hope that kept him wanting for noire. / um hi ... did you order a yearner to your inbox ? komcderf

─「ᚾᛟᛁᚱᛖ」─ it was different with him compared to others. those working and cooperating with ENDFIELD INDUSTRIES had a certain level of knowledge about who she was and what she had done even more than the endministrator herself. that was a common thing for her now, that others would know more about her than she did. yet —
the reaction had been instinctive, that FLINCH when his hand came too close, when the slightest of contact sparked something that was akin to recognition. but it was unlike the kind she had experienced with many operators who were assisting and working with her. this touch, this recognition went deeper, and it stirred something deep inside of her which could not be named, her HEART resonated with that touch and begged for the mind to remember what was forgotten.
" .... who are you ... — " the words left her lips even before she could stop it, and the syllables sounded foreign on her own tongue. it wasn't as simple as her simply inquiring about his name. she knew of his name by now. she knew to a point of what he was trying to do, but not his motif, not his goal. but no ... those weren't what she was trying to ask. not just who he is ... a breath was taken and mask-covered eyes stared at him among the WHITE FLOWERS she witnessed in her dreams.
was this a dream, too ? or ... —
why was he making that face ? noire couldn't find a logical explanation for it, for the very look he always gave her as though she was someone he had LOST and had been searching for all this time. what was it that was gone during the last ten years she was in slumber ? what was the reason those eyes were making her chest tighten and ache in a way she couldn't put into words ? her lips thinned at the thought, gaze dropping to his hand.
what were we to each other for you to look at me like that ?
despite every LOGIC screaming for her not to trust him, the pull was too strong for her to ignore. it wasn't just curiosity, if it was just that then she'd have been able to shake them away. the organ in her left chest pounded, once, twice —
and after a long silence, she placed her hand on his offered one as though that was where it belonged all this time.
" only a moment longer. no more, no less. "
— ... who were you to me, ardashir ... ?
