My piece for @palimpsestzine Labours of November is finally out (I'm late aah) and it is a meetcute at the market for Endris and Resi. I spent half the game saying I wanted Endris as my dream husband, so I was SO happy when he got it in himself to propose to Resi, and the end credits of them and their many kids really warmed my (quite bruised by then hah) heart!

I was trying to get a feel of what it's like to draw some Pentiment characters and how to best translate them into my style. I feel like for most characters I stayed pretty close to their icons or on screen appearances but some just got rowdy on the page all on their own.

i randomly decided to doodle Endris compared to the normal appearance of his species (which i still need to name)

basically his species was genetically engineered to be soldiers for the Demon King in like test tube thingies but his broke while he was only half-developed. it would have been more dangerous to put him back in a new one so the scientist people said that “we’ll find a use for him eventually” and now he’s the Demon King’s personal servant/butler thingy. he’s like,, really insecure because all of the other members of his species make fun of him for 1. having wings that are too small and weak to let him fly 2. his horns are tiny 3. he’s tiny in general 4. he’s afraid of like,, everything

also i actually kinda like the sketchy thing i did for this? it was nice to not have to stress about lineart for once

A man was in her woods. Her woods. A man walking alone, pale like a ghost, smelling of military wool and of sweat. She stalked closer, through the trees, careful not to crack a branch or make a sound, until he was just beneath her.

And then she dropped, letting her weight take him to the ground with her pinning him, on clawed hand around his throat, not squeezing but letting the points of her claws rest along his jugular like a promise.
