I had a thought today so what if Vander had been an enforcer before the girls? Imagine how betrayed Vi and Powder - especially Vi - would feel, how much her anger would devolve to hatred, and resentment, towards him for keeping that from her. Even if Vander’s service was of a nobler cause, before hotheads like Marcus and during a time of principle, like Grayson. Food for thought.
