Choromatsu definitely did not mean to get distracted by looking at the displays on the shop windows. He wasn’t even that much into fashion, but he couldn’t help it! They all looked so nice. A small smile formed on his face as he looked at the displays, maybe he should get something  for his roommate? They were friends anyways! 

Not paying attention to where he was walking, Choromatsu found himself bumping directly into someone from the front. He let out a little squeak and took a small step back, giving an apologetic smile to the person he had bumped into. 

“Sorry about that!”

                      Solitude.

Vincent sits quietly, staring out the window upon the snow-covered town below. He can feel the chill of the air outside radiating through the glass, prickling at his skin. The television is announcing the local news, illuminating the otherwise dark room with a series of whites and blues and reds. Nearby his smart phone buzzes, alerting him of an incoming notification.

He stands up slowly and moves over to his phone, checking the screen.. “...They miss me, huh?” On the phone is a message from Yuffie, excitedly and enthusiastically typed out complete with emoticons and exclamation marks. He taps out a short reply, hits send, then closes the phone.

Vincent’s head turns as he hears the apartment door open.

Though the query is likely to be perceived as peculiarly random as it is his understanding that it is not common for one to bypass formalities in favor of initiating a conversation relating to that particular topic, his own curiosity has successfully managed to get the better of him. It is not as if he regrets posing it, but it cannot be said that he does not expect her response to be accompanied by a vocal tone reading of bewilderment. Though it is a possibility, the odds of the opposite actually occurring are not exactly overwhelming.
