▌♚🌠. As the other player spoke, she could quickly understand that he was, indeed, no stranger to the game; he was not like other whom simply cowered in fear of the monsters, nor like the people whom dwindled their days in the wonders of the beauty it contained - he was fighting for his life, just as she was. A saddened smile befell upon her features, eyes lamented with a sadness as she thought of how easily life could be taken away.
❝ do you find it strange? ❞ she asked when his speech had ceased; ❝ that our lives are no held within data and codes, that in a single moment we could be erased from here and the real world. Back home, there was always the possibility of being killed; be it an accident or murder, yet here … death feel imminent. ❞ not only, but there were people whom were MORE than rude; taking into their hands to KILL other players they knew nothing about.
the virtual GAME had twisted into something all too real.
❝ i’m sorry. ❞ she laughed, wavering on emotions. ❝ it’s rare that I meet someone who doesn’t … push aside others, most players take a glance at me, and they don’t think much of me,❞ though to be fair; had they found out WHOM she was, she would never get a moment of rest and peace. ❝ i usually reside in the twenty third floor, it’s lonely there, so it’s nice to speak with someone that isn’t an NPC, someone that’s KIND.❞

No one wanted to come to a world where losing once is all it takes to meet a more permanent end. It's like you said. The world that we came from is exactly like that. Why leave it just to go to another version of it? Having multiple lives and being able to walk away from the game just to come back later are two of the greatest aspects of game play that us players appreciate. It's there that the divide between reality and fantasy lies. Who would want to take that away and why?
Even so, while I think that it's WRONG and I can't figure out the last part, I can't call it STRANGE. Thieves, murderers, and liars take on different faces. Just like us, some of them appreciate games. Realistically speaking, it was only a matter of time until something like this happened. I just wasn't faced with that reality until now. ❞
