So a million years ago, @lostinthestacks tagged me and the question is:
Do you have books about your favourite animal? If you do, post a picture of a couple of them. If not, just post a pic of animal. If you don't want to do it, that's fine too!
And since I do nothing but work, have a (lazy) work photo! I love birds. Wild birds, “domestic” birds, tall birds, short birds, FANCY BIRDS, HONKING BIRDS, FLIGHTLESS BIRDS... I love birds. Some of my favorite little rascals are ring-necked parrots, kakariki parrots, pigeons, budgies, galahs (rose-breasted cockatoo), emus, lorikeets, and the hundreds of different birds of paradise species because how can you pick JUST ONE. (Okay, there’s only, like, 40 different species but still.)
I believe birds kept as companions should have as much enrichment and interactivity as a wild bird and not left to rot in a cage all day. Even if they come to you flightless, encouraging them to flap those wings and play with toys (and you!) still keeps them healthy and happy! And no matter what our library’s nonfiction bird care guides from the 80s say, birds shouldn’t be on an all seed diet! They’re wild little babies and need all sorts of vitamins from all sorts of food.
....Anyway, I love borbs...
No one has to do this, but I’ll pass the game along! @bookishspacequeen @youthbookreview @therefugeofbooks @flamingmirrorbookish @girlonbooks @just0nemorepage
