By the time Y/N and Alastor returned to the Hazbin Hotel, dusk had dipped Hell in shades of crimson and gold. They walked through the lobby doors, positively beaming. Angel was the first to notice.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa—hold up.” Angel leaned over the bar, squinting at them. “Why do you two look like you just got back from cuddling a litter of hellpuppies? Or murdering someone important? Actually—don’t tell me. Let me guess. You off another warehouse of loan sharks?"
Husk grunted. “Nah, they’d look more smug if that were it.”
Charlie hurried out from the kitchen, apron covered in flour. “You guys look really happy—did something happen?”
Vaggie, arms crossed but curious, added, “Yeah, spill.”
Alastor simply smiled in that infuriatingly serene way of his, hands clasped behind his back. Y/N only stretched, very casually, like someone who’d had the best day of her life…and then she lifted her left hand to scratch her cheek.
A ruby glinted in the lobby’s light—brilliant, undeniable.
Charlie’s hands flew to her mouth. “OH MY GOODNESS—ARE YOU—? DID YOU—? IS THAT—?!”
Vaggie froze, then pointed at Alastor. “You? YOU proposed?!”
Her gasp could power a small city. She’s tearing up, grabbing Y/N’s hand, babbling blessings in half-English, half-Spanish while Charlie beams so bright she could light up all of Hell and Heaven.
Even Husk—stone-faced, deadpan Husk—muttered, “Well, I’ll be damned,” with genuine shock.
Niffty burst out of a random vent. “WEDDING?? WEDDING?? I CAN SEW NAPKINS!! DO YOU WANT NAPKINS?!”
Charlie launched herself at Y/N, hugging her so tightly that Y/N actually wheezed. “CONGRATULATIONS!”
Angel grabbed Alastor by the shoulders. “YOU SLY, SINISTER, ANTIQUE RADIO STUD! YOU DID IT!”
Alastor visibly glitches at that phrasing—static pops, smile tight—but Y/N just kisses his cheek, proud, smug, glowing. They then exchanged a look—a smile shared only by two people who chose each other despite every odd as the lobby continued to erupt into joyful chaos—cheering, hugging, shouting, confetti Niffty definitely did not have permission to use.
Alastor placed a hand lightly on the small of her back. “Well,” he murmured to her, “now they know.”
Y/N smiled up at him, eyes sparkling—brighter than rubies. "And now the real madness begins.”
Indeed, it did, as the following day, somehow, all of Hell found out the news and treated it like it was the most terrifyingly juicy piece of gossip.
Word spread like wildfire as sinners stopped in the street to stare at the couple, and demons whispered like they were witnessing a myth.
“The Radio Demon is engaged?”
“To Carmilla’s hitwoman daughter?!”
“Oh, that’s HOT. And terrifying.”
"Oh, they’re gonna kill SO MANY together.”
Carmilla, having been the first to know about their engagement, allowed herself a slow, knowing smile as the gossip about it reached her ears—equal parts approval and threat—because she expected nothing less than total chaos from her daughter and her chaotic fiancé.
Meanwhile, Vox hears the rumor, freezes, and short-circuits in a live broadcast. Velvette screams about it trending. Valentino laughs nervously and locks his doors for the week.
And Y/N? She walks through the streets like a queen newly crowned.
Every time another sinner stares, she tucks a strand of hair behind her ear—deliberate. Casual. LETHAL.
“Oh—you noticed?” She would ask, feigning innocence while lifting her left hand, letting the ruby bleed light down the alleyway.
Sinners swoon. Overlords bow. And Alastor stands beside her like proud sin incarnate. Arm linked with hers. Smile soft as a razor. A demon in love, unashamed.
Later on at the hotel, Charlie hosts a celebration, over-the-top as always. Vaggie is doing her best to keep it as casual as possible, Angel, of course, decorating with confetti and lingerie banners, Husk bartends through the pain of caring a little too much.
Alastor didn't pay any of it any mind, focusing more on continuing to brush his thumb over Y/N's new ring like he still can’t believe it’s real.
But Y/N knows it's real, practically glowing since the night they got engaged.
And every time someone asks? She shamelessly shows that ring like it holds all the power in Hell—because, to her, it does.
Those of us on the email team have decided to transition our weekly email campaign into a monthly one. Instead of sending emails to platform executives every week, we would like to do so once at the end of each month.
This decision was made in order to concentrate our efforts and maximize our impact. We hope that this change will ensure our voices are still being heard, without splitting our efforts.
We will still be trending streamer hashtags every week, and our templates will still be available on our website, but our organized days of action will be happening the last Wednesday of every month.
Our team will be doing some construction on the templates before this February’s email day, so please stay tuned! Please DM us if you have any questions.
I will admit, I don't really like the fact that I have to get likes and comments just to be able to apply to be an artist on the site, but at this point I just need to broaden my horizons and have more places to sell my commissions.
I need 5 comments and 100 likes to be able to apply to become a verified artist!
My VGen Account: https://vgen.co/Cryptid-Artha/characters (It's brand new, I won't bother setting it up unless I can actually get verified as an artist, in all honesty...)
My current Commission sheet: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58310782/
Some recent artwork:
Furaffinity, where I post most of my art, is not listed as an eligible platform for these engagement posts so I hope linking to my fA account is good enough.
You can find most of my art posted here: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/cryptid-artha/
I post commissions in batches, so commissioners can fave their pieces.
I'll be honest, vGen seems like an Super Exclusive Cool Kids Only Club sort of place for artists, but if I can broaden my horizons and get more commissioners, which I need since I am supporting three people on what I can make from my art, it's worth a try.
