This was going to be a prompt but I didn't know how to word it in a prompt so now its a fic thing
“Ryan… Ryyyaaannnn…” Jeremy whined quietly as their friend’s large Burmese mountain dog flopped generously on top of him.
It was a large, friendly beast that showed no qualms about sharing its weight as it took over the couch Jeremy had been lying upon. It wasn’t that uncomfortable really, but when they were just about to get up to get a drink from the other room, it left Jeremy with little choice but to sit in place. They hadn’t really expected this when Ryan had told them that they were looking after the “pup” for a week.
So, Ryan, upon seeing this, could only really respond with a mischievous grin.
"Ryannnnn….“ Jeremy waved his hand uselessly.
Ryan’s smile grew, "Y'know, maybe I should just leave you like that.”
Jeremy huffed as the dog started to lick at his ear. His desperate attempts at a theatrical pout thwarted by the slobbery tongue against his ear. He couldn’t help but laugh as he tried to pull his head away.
“Ach.. No!” Jeremy searched for words on their tongue, “Dog, stop… Help!”
Ryan laughed for a little longer, waiting as Jeremy’s face got all cute and blushy and red. Then, satisfied that it’d gone on long enough, Ryan whistled first and then started to pat at their knees. The dog responded immediately as it bounded off Jeremy (“Oof!” came the sound from his lungs) and landed right next to Ryan as it received numerous pets as reward. Jeremy tried to pout again, but soon a new weight was taking its place as Ryan pulled them over and met them nose to nose.
Jeremy faked pouting once more, which only made Ryan grin wider.
"You were gonna leave me trapped under a dog.”
"Well, I was thinking about how flustered you got when Golf With Friends wasn’t working out, and how cute you looked, so it was imperative that I found a way to repeat it.“ Ryan ended the sentence with a kiss on Jeremy’s cheek.
And sure enough, Jeremy sputtered to get words out as their face stayed red, but it was difficult amidst the nonsense noises and giggles.
Jeremy grinned, "Well, no one’s cuter flustered than you, big guy.”
"Me? Flustered? Why I hab-ar-“ words mixed in their mouth on cue, and Ryan’s nose scrunched up like a cat, like it always did.
Ryan flopped down onto Jeremy’s chest, "I see your point.”
Jeremy planted a soft kiss on top of Ryan’s head, and the pair slowly transitioned into a calmer position. Just to grin at each other like rom-com idiots.
Then the dog came over and decided to get in on the fun by throwing its slobbery tongue all over their faces.
