In the AU, Ennard was once mistreated by humans. He was treated as a animal trapped in a zoo, and was cast away like a stray. He may be aggressive towards humans, but he seems to understand animals better. Almost like he understands what they've gone through too....

He’s surprisingly gentle with cats.
