In case you all have been wondering where I’ve been, I’m not dead, I swear!

I just haven’t really produced anything I’ve felt proud of in the past several months, but I figure I need to change that and have been trying to ease myself back into drawing regularly.

Would you all prefer if I posted more sketches/unrefined pieces, or stick to mainly gallery-worthy stuff between any Charathon round submissions that may come up?

Radlaide Mother's Day by IntrepidIllusionaire

I got a Cintiq Companion Hybrid a month ago, wanted to put Clover Paint to the test and see if I could finish something entirely in it rather than my usual approach of doodling on a Windows machine with CLIP STUDIO PAINT or Paint Tool SAI. Mother's Day was coming up, so a cute Enne/Kyvel thing made sense at the time... and then I put it off for weeks, not actually finishing it 'til the very end of the month. Figures.

I recently found out that MagicalDraw is a thing that exists, and it’s actually very nice to sketch in if using Microsoft Edge and your CPU isn’t being hammered. Pressure sensitivity just works.

So here’s some Enne sketches I feel reasonably good about, like the kemono aesthetic is starting to click again. Might as well break the silence on the art blog here, even if it’s not a fully colored pic.

Enne-up! by IntrepidIllusionaire

Well, I don't usually draw pinup-ish stuff like this, especially considering I've got a proper story planned out for her and all. I want her taken seriously as a character, not just fanservice furry bait. But I'd be foolish to deny that Enne IS sexy, and maybe there's nothing wrong with that or me drawing stuff like this. Most of my friends tell me it's not really a pinup anyway, so maybe I'm just worrying too much as usual.

Enne-raveled! by IntrepidIllusionaire

One of the things I've pictured about Enne lately is that the bandaging on her arms and ears isn't just for show. She's got these little weighty claw things on 'em to whip or grapple people with, and when she unwraps them, things are about to get well and truly dangerous. In other news, I spent far, far too long drawing this. Too many hours for ONE character and no real background. I need to draw faster.
