Horus’s voice is a quiet tenor, naturally deep like his daddy but gentler around the edges. Patient, measured. Sounds like he would have an unexpectedly lovely singing voice.

Osiris’s voice is melt in your mouth dark chocolate, smooth as silk over naked skin. I’m talking Ralph Fiennes as Ramses in the Prince of Egypt, guys.

Ra’s voice is sharp and nasal, with a fabulous witchy cackle of a laugh. Despite being a big woman, I think she has a higher pitched voice than one would expect.

Anubis (adult) has a whispery voice, alto, speaks in clipped brief cadence.

Nephthys has a sad, sleepy high pitched voice with an upswing.

Maat has an assertive alto voice with almost monotone delivery and flat affect.

Thoth, on the other hand, has a higher pitched voice than his beloved and speaks in a bubbly, fast-thinking way.

when you enter, he says nothing. he only turns his face slightly, like one who detects an animal entering its lair.

-i told you i don't need anything. -his voice is raspy, but without edge. tired, not angry.

you don't answer. you walk towards him with a bowl of scented water in your hands and a clean linen cloth. you place both on the low table next to the throne, with gentle gestures, as if you were serving an ordinary man. as if he were not the god of the storm.

seth watches you. with distrust, yes. but also… with a tension on his lips that does not become a gesture of defense. nor of pleasure. just a pause. a space into which something could enter, if you knew how.

you take his bandaged arm gently.

-i can do it myself. -he grunts. but he doesn't pull away.

-i don't doubt you can. -you reply. and with that, you begin to undo the knot of the bandage.

the wound is not serious, but the cut is ugly. old. badly cared for. like everything on him.

you wet the cloth, squeeze out the water. you start to clean.

-i don't want your pity.

-i'm not giving it to you. -your voice is as serene as the touch of your fingers. i'm taking care of what's mine.

there, he does turn his face to look at you. directly. as if your phrase had been a blow. but he doesn't get up. he doesn't turn away. he doesn't say anything.

the silence between you becomes thick, but not uncomfortable. you continue cleaning, bandaging calmly. seth stares at an invisible spot at the back of the room. breathing slow. the broad chest barely rising and falling.

and when you finish, and your hands stop… he doesn't move. he doesn't thank you. he doesn't look at you. but he doesn't walk away either.

he just says, after a long while, almost in a whisper:

dating at the beginning with seth is … complicated

he is not an expert on the subject and he has never had good interpersonal relationships with others so it will be difficult for him.

when you admitted that you liked him and how you felt about him it was hard for him to believe it. even he didn't realize how he felt about you, because he has little self-esteem.

apart from the difficult situations that will happen in the beginning of your "relationship" there are also nice things.
